BX2380 mower deck won’t lock out on “top”

This post is a bit late from the others but I had a similar problem with mine. Turned out one of the three point lift arms has a tiny crack in it and would "open up" when trying to get the deck to the extreme top position necessary to engage the top lock. This may not be your problem but...

    What would you do?

Well, I want to say thanks for all the input. It's appreciated. Someone asked which way I'm leaning and I'm not sure at the moment but probably will go for a bigger tractor and a zero turn. However, my wife says that you ALL are a biased group of guys and CAN'T be trusted!! :)

    What would you do?

Hello I have a kubota 2380 that I bought roughly 5 years ago. I have used it to landscape and condition the four acres that we currently own. I have moved lot's of dirt. I've used it to build retaining walls and move gravel. I use it regularly to mow, both the field and the lawn. But, to be...

    Kubota BX2380 Fuel Shutoff Valve

Thanks for the reply. The solenoid appears to be good. I haven't actually measured the rod travel, but it appears to be retracting and extending in the same manner as my neighbors (who has the 2370 model). It's all that "linkage" that is connected to the rod that appears to be the problem. I...

    Kubota BX2380 Fuel Shutoff Valve

I tried to start my tractor today and it wouldn't start. Just to get other things out of the way, the problem isn't electrical, fuel supply or anything like that. The actual problem is that once the fuel shutoff solenoid releases, the assembly that is connected to the solenoid doesn't "spring"...

    BX2380 loader locking Mechanism

Hey, I've got a BX2380 with the loader stand lock on the left side of the loader (from the perspective of sitting on the tractor). Being lazy, I was trying to get some mulch out of the trailer over the side and I messed up the loader stand locking mechanism. I believe the locking hook got...

    Wheel slipping

I don't have beet juice. The stuff used around here is some type of biodegradable corn derivative. I don't remember exactly what the name of it is off hand. Anyhow, the ? I'd like to ask is how much above recommended pressure are you and do you have the R4 tires? Thanks

    Wheel slipping

About a year ago I posted a thread seeking advice on a suspected transmission problem. I noted that the wheel just kind of seemed to shudder. Here is a link to the thread if anyone is interested: https://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/threads/seeking-advice.50544/#post-453989 Wheel shudder...

    Leaky tire on BX

Hi, the front left tire is leaking on my kubota bx2380. The tire (R4) is a replacement for a turf tire that was on the rim before. The previous owner indicated that the turf tire wouldn’t hold air and he wasn’t sure why. Anyhow, knowing the history I’m thinking the problem is probably with the...

    Seeking Advice

So to follow up with this thread, this is what was happening. Whether it is called a "dog clutch" or not, there are two plates as part of the diff lock assembly. One has pins, the other has holes. When one tire spins, engaging the differential lock pushes the pins of the one plate into the...

    Seeking Advice

Well, when the tractor exhibits the problem the rear wheels shudder and the front tires spin. So perhaps their diagnosis is more understandable now. As I said though, no broken anything to explain the behaviour.

    Seeking Advice

It's kind of difficult to describe. Under a load, like trying to dig dirt from a hill, the tractor will start to stall and then the rear tires will just kind of shudder (like their going back and forth). I don't think the tires are actually going backward, but rather just trying to go forward...

    Seeking Advice

Hello all, real quick background. My tractor, bx2380, was/is having a transmission (assumption) problem of some sort. I talked with the service center and checked everything to no avail. I finally took the tractor in for them to diagnose and repair. They called me back a day or so later and...

    BX2380 Loader issue

Hello all. I'm starting to search the forums for answers but I don't really know the questions very well so please bear with me. The front end loader is acting "floppy". I've been moving a dirt pile and noticing that after I dump the load, I'll attempt to back drag to level the dirt and the...

BX2680 Hydralic Leak on FEL connect

    Can I use this tiller?

OK. Thanks for the input. As it turns out, I ran onto a used land pride 42" tiller for sale on craigs list. I probably could have just rented the larger tiller but this one is much more suited to my tractors size and weight limits. Now time to start tilling.

    Can I use this tiller?

Hi. I have one of the BX2380 tractor and need to do some tilling. The majority of the ground is reasonably "unpacked"....meaning that is was moved a while back and been settling in place for a couple of years. Another way of saying this is that the dirt is not hard-pan concrete. Anyhow, I can...

    Hydraulic leaks

Hello all, I have a BX2380 series tractor. I have around 200 hours on it now. Lately I've been using it to pull a box blade to move some dirt around my property with the tines/rippers engaged. This has caused a lot of vibration and jarring to me so I would assume to the tractor as well...
