    B8200 Knock from intake

Hi handyman and ipz, Thats why I want to recheck them after it has worked for an hour or two. To make sure that the valves were all the way closed when I set them. And I am hoping that someone will post specs on what gap I am supposed to have. The reason they were loose is that the nuts on the...

Thanks for the reply Ed. I put locktite on the nuts on the rocker shaft hold downs. So I'm not really worried about those, but I just want make sure that the valves stay the same as when I set them. Finger tight and and back off a quarter turn. I didn't have any specs so I just played it by ear...

Hi joe , well finding it and fixing it might be two different stories. But all in all it could have been a lot worse. B8200 Knock from intake

I almost blew it. I should have done a bit more checking before I put it back together. I should have asked myself why was that rocker so loose.Any way I set the rockers and started it up and it ran fine. Long story short, the rocker shaft hold downs were loose. Re tightened everything and it...

Nope no starter fluid. I have never needed it with this tractor.I don't like using it anyway. This tractor has no block heater and would start at -20 no problem on the glow plugs. I had it running yesterday and no noise. I will pull the head cover in the morning. I hope it is the decompressor. I...

    Exhaust gas for Garage question.

Hi Joe, I'm thinkin cheapest solution is start tractor, pull tractor outside, close garage door, go inside finish coffee. Then go outside and go to work. I think what they mean is 5 to 10 minutes before working the tractor. But that's just my opinion.:D

    Quick attach 6' Snow Blade.

Hey Joe, It looks like a great addition for your tractor. You will learn a lot this winter, me too I made a blade for my steiner, or I guess my son will learn a lot about it. It is going to his place in Holstein for the winter. The last tractor I sent out for him to use was an 18 horse massey...
