    G4200H won't turn over

Problem solved. Apparently on the new starter that I bought, both wires needed to be hooked to the same terminal. I'm pretty sure that on the old starter one wire went on each terminal. Otherwise, why would there be two terminals? Anyways, it is now getting power to the key switch, so...

    G4200H won't turn over

Thanks Scrounger. It appears that the PTO and clutch switches are tied together. I haven't seen any other switches. I'm going to play around with the ignition switch and see what happens.....

    G4200H won't turn over

Okay, so here's what else I know so far. There is not a relay for the glow plugs. I put a jumper from the battery to the glow plugs and was able to get the tractor started by jumping the solenoid. There is a pto switch; I checked it for continuity and it was good. There is a hydrostatic...

    G4200H won't turn over

I'm pretty sure there is not a relay for the glow plugs but I will look at that. I'll also try jumping the glow plugs to the battery but I was thinking that if there's a problem in the glow plug circuit it shouldn't affect the switch cranking the starter? I bought the new switch from a Kubota...

    G4200H won't turn over

Hey Hodge, The other thing I should mention is that when this problem started, I would have to turn the key switch on and off repeatedly to get the starter to engage. It was very sporadic. That's what made me think that it was the switch. Thanks

    G4200H won't turn over

Thanks Hodge: Sorry, I guess I should have said that it does turn over. Doesn't start though I think because the glow plugs are not getting any power. I am also afraid of frying something by jumping across the solenoid for an extended period of time? This is an old tractor that I got a few...

    G4200H won't turn over

My G4200H won't start and I think it is an electrical issue. When I turn the key nothing happens. No glow plug light, no starter engagement, nothing. I checked the battery voltage with a multi-meter and checked voltage to the chasis ground and they are both good. There is voltage to the...
