    Recovered B8200 - Found abandoned

I’m hearing wisdom! Good one on Father Time Yes I agree on the cost/benefit consideration. I am cautiously moving along. The only reason I’m doing this is for the challenge and potential reward. You just never know if st the end of the rainbow is gold or pyrite. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I went ahead and...

    Recovered B8200 - Found abandoned

I went to the local dealership and bought a new fuel filter and O-ring. Also, when I explain to them that the bleeder valve leaks when unscrewed and drips, they said it may be sucking in air and should not be doing that so I got a new bleeder valve. I will give that a try tomorrow. A new pump...

    Recovered B8200 - Found abandoned

Well, I replaced all the fuel lines, primed, everything as best I can, and I’m not getting any diesel coming out of the injectors with the fuel rail cracked open. I’m wondering if it’s the lower fuel pump. To me when I take the fuel line off the pump and crank the engine over. Shouldn’t the pot...

On to the tank and lines….. Oh my what an adventure this turned out to be! I ended up having to pull the fuel level sensor and put some gravel in the tank and give it a good shake around for awhile to bust up a ton of varnish. I got about 95% of it out. Also found a few surprises in the tank...

Basically, I disassembled the steering wheel and remove the dash. I must say the electrical has been tampered with quite a bit. if I get this thing to run, I’m gonna go through the entire system and fix it correctly. Stick a 2x4 in the dash to hold it. Shade tree mechanic🤠 Got the new...

Finally got time to get after this thing today. I don’t have a stand hold up my phone to shoot a video so I just took a bunch of pictures. Here is the as-is before I start. Well the new tank cap is on.

Mine has one! I’ll post a pic tomorrow. It’s on the lower left corner under dash. Also has or shall I say HAD a red pull knob for engine shutoff. Manual discourages the years of the decompression knob to shut off the engine.

Thank you for the details here. I was sure on the fuel line bleeding but this helps a lot!! The cables with knobs on the lower dash are both messed up. The stop engine knob is broke and 1/2 gone. The decompression knob and cable are froze up. Both will get replaced if she runs and is worth...

Got it. The fuel lines are rubber hose. The return lines are cracked and need to be replaced prior to running or they are going to spray everywhere I think.

Plot thickens…. Just got home and moved her closer to the “shop” with the Kawasaki Mule Pro to get ready for the examination. Found the transmission dipstick. Nothing showing on it. 😒 I do see oil stained leaves where I had it parked BUT I was spraying a bunch of PB Blaster in various areas so...

Mike great minds think alike. I had done this back a week ago. I follow Diesel Creek on YouTube and he just went thru this on a subcompact tractor. I plan to pull the tank and clean it then replace all the fuel lines up to the fuel pump and the return lines back to the tank. I was then going to...

Mike the dipstick shows full and black. No evidence of water. Needs a change if she runs but no water. I’ve never worked on diesels. Just gas. That is one reason I want this little guy to run. Good opportunity to learn. Is pulling the injectors as simple as it sounds? Any replacement seals or...

Well crud...the idea of inspecting the engine internals before firing up is bothersome. I hate to tear it down just to find out. A borescope would get me into the exhaust manifold but not much further. I could pull the exhaust manifold and take a look at the ports. Any recommendation on...

Wow thanks for the awesome contributions. You guys are great. I’m one of those don’t ask don’t tell guys but if the outlay in bringing this little gal to life looks substantial I’ll check around on title. i’m down here in the state of Texas, and this definitely qualifies as abandoned property...

    Recovered B8200 - Found abandoned

Hello! First post and new to the forum…. What brought me here is this little gem(pictured) I recovered on a skid steer property cleanup job. It was buried in the back of the property. I’m not sure what year it is but it is a B 8200 four-wheel-drive. It came with the loader and I also found a...
