    B7500 Overheating after 30 mins mowing

    You might try running a water hose thru the radiator. I did after using an air gun to blow out the radiator on my L 1500. It took about 10 minutes before the water ran clear out the other side of the radiator. G

    Soft plug

    Yes, soft/freeze plugs are there to save the head or block for cracking when the water freezes. They don't always work so be sure that you have a correct antifreeze mixture in your coolant system. G

    It sounds like your soft plug has left the building. Also known as a freeze plug. Replace the plug and hope that will fix it. G

    If you have milky hydraulic fluid, you need to drain the fluid and change it. While you have the fluid out remove the suction screen, It's on the left side of the tractor opposit of the suction line. Remove and cleen the screen. I flushed out the transmission with solvent. Got lots of crap...

    I just went thru this with my L1500. If you open the drain plugs on the axles you will drain the entire contents of your gearbox/axle. I also removed the suction filter and found it plugged with grease. Apparently the person who rebuilt the gearbox had put grease on everything. I can't...

    Brake Adjustment: STUCK

    I have a l175 that I just tried to adjust the brakes on. The turnbuckel was bottomed out. Try to move yours the other way and see if you have the same problem. G

    Thanks for the replies. Carl, I have a Ford1210 that I have had since new. It will be my primary tractor in that it has the turf tires and a hydrostatic transmission. The Kubota has what look to be original rice paddy tires. I will use the Kubota if I can make it work on my rather hilly...

    My 90 year old neighbor just gave me an old Kubota. It has the number L1500 stamped on the side of the transmission case. The numbers 1751 are after the L1500. Any ideas about how old this tractor is?
