Can anyone tell me what this adjustment knob is (see pic below) for on the top of the transmission? It goes into the back where the hydraulic ram is that is used to lift the mower deck and is a suspect of what may have dead headed the pump. The knob is adjusted all the way in, clockwise to its stop.

Yes - everything appears to be lined up the same as is described on page 51 - including the rack pin.

Governor levers and springs are setup the same as Fig A on page 89. - small spring connected on the left correctly on both ends - large throttle spring connect correctly on both ends - rack pin is fitted in the governor arm slot same as the picture
