    Lift arm stabilizer question

I have a box blade set up like that, with a dual sized pin and the split bracket.

How-to: Raising the hydraulic pressure on an L2501 and measuring the REAL results

Excellent work! I have not maxed out my 4701 loader yet, but I may look at doing this mod anyway. Mo power is always mo better!

    Lift arm stabilizer question

Cutter was used when I bought it and had cat 1 pins, but it could be cat 2 implement. It’s an old Woods and no model number to be seen. That may indeed be the problem. Second photo is a little deceiving because there is not enough room to go to the inside with the pins flipped. I am leaning...

    Lift arm stabilizer question

this is a problem. Took me 15 mins to hook up the cutter. I measured and Pat’s or QH would require a new pto shaft too. Not cool

    Lift arm stabilizer question

Well - that might work...if I hadn’t welded the pins on the cutter long ago...😁 Might be worth $10 worth of new pins to find out.

    Lift arm stabilizer question

Yeah, I did that as well, centering the pto shaft - not my first time to unhook a hog. There was some unlevelness to the ground I was on and it was causing some issues as well. The fact remains that the Bota has less range of movement of the arms toward the tires. I‘m sure this is to account for...

    Lift arm stabilizer question

Not sure where this should be, it I found the issue while ”operating” it, or rather in the process of changing implements, so I put it here. I have n old Woods rotary cutter, 6’. I noticed when I hooked it up, the arms were just about maxed out in width. But I got it on. When I went to take it...

    Tool box options

If I find another 30cal can, I might put one there too. I looked hard at that location before, just couldn’t conceptualize how to mount it securely. How did you accomplish it? Photo?

    Tool box options

Yeah - that’s a neat install and he did a nice job, but I think he’ll be ultimately disappointed in the JB Weld, especially when he whacks something with them sticking off the loader towers. This is why I am focused on mounting to the round FEL mounting bracket tube between loader tower and...

    Tool box options

So what have you good Orange tractor folks done in the way of add-on tool boxes? I know about using an old ammo can to replace the chincy plastic Kubota box. I done done that. Used an .50 cal ammo can. I am trying to figure a way to mount a a .30 cal can as a chain box. I would like to mount it...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Bought a 48" grapple and a 5" disc harrow (used - for hunting land). Ordered a Summit Third Function Kit. Looking like some work to be done this summer....

    Kubota LX2610

This is true. Dealer I bought my tractor from only offered a $500 cash discount. With the inventory nationwide being what it is, he had zero incentive to negotiate. Supply and demand is a bitch sometimes. I had the cash, but I can make more than the $500 by leaving it where it is.

    Why I love my grapple...

I also found a decent deal on a 48” Titan grapple here in the area. It is not one of the clamshell types, but does have the root rake teeth. I can get it new and a 5’ disk harrow (used) for what the grapple normally cost new. I kinda like the idea of a 4’ unit, and it is easy enough to take on...

    Why I love my grapple...

The more I look at grapples and consider how I would use one, the more I am leaning to something like you have. The "Add-a-grapple" brand is pinned and looks easy to remove. What about your's? I kinda like the idea of having the choice of bucket or grapple at the same time too. Do your bucket...

First 5 hours review of L4701HST

My gut feelings agree. Both are 6 ply tires, but I know R1’s have taller, softer sidewalls and will ride better in the pasture. I’ve only complained about them on my Massey in the yard once after days of rain and my own thoughtlessness. I used to mow the whole place with it and a finish mower. I...

First 5 hours review of L4701HST

I am known to be wishy-washy before I make a decision and often suffer from “buyers-remorse.” I’m not remorseful on this tractor as a whole. It’s mainly because I just have no experience with these tires. I spoke with a good friend of mine who has a JD roughly equivalent tractor - 50hp, HST, 4wd...

First 5 hours review of L4701HST

No, I did not use the foot engagement for diff-lock, but when you engage 4wd on this tractor, you get some limited slip functionality of the rear diff. I saw this fact when I was test driving on the gravel lot. It was in 4wd and I was getting some inside tire scuff. So yes I may have had some...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

This kind of stuff scares me a little with the R4’s. I would not think twice doing the same thing with my MF 2wd with LBSB Ag tires.
