    It's about six months old now. Still under warranty, but the local dealer refuses to do any kind of after sale care, so I'm on my own. Definitely going to get an ignition cover of some kind for it now, it's pretty exposed without the cover.

    Thanks everyone. I wanted to see if there was a polite solution before I went in with more force. Ended up just popping the front off and pulling the metal bit and springs out. Works just fine now. For a tractor with 60 hours on it, I have to say I'm pretty concerned about all the little parts...
