thanks lucky . thats what i figured . an idea just came to mind . i'll place some vice grips over the shifter loosely and then tap on the vice grips gently from the bottom . maybe that will work . botaman .

i bought a new shifter boot for my b7100 , but can't figure out how to get it on . do i remove the shifter and install it from the bottom ? i can't get the handel to budge . botaman .
