That sounds good. A hitch on both ends might work out nice for you. That would make it a double purpose machine, push one and pull on at the same time. Be sure to put some pics for us to see.

    2wd

I think 4WD should be the standard on smaller tractors. If I use my L 3000 to do any work at all chances are at some point in time it will be in 4WD at least once. One big plus to me is the fact that with 4WD engaged it gives you front brakes so to speak. How many times have you gone down a hill...

    2wd

I agree, 4WD is priceless when you need it. One thing for sure, it doesn't have to be used when it's not required but you can't use it if you don't have it. I have always been told that 4WD adds 50% more pulling power to a tractor. When I bought my L 3000 DT the dealer said that my 31 hp with...

    Return fuel line

Maybe that will fix you up. How nasty was the vent? It seems to me that it would be something like that wrong with it. The return line shouldn't be under pressure like the other fuel lines would be. It just about has to have some type of blockage causing it to build up excessive pressure. I hope...

    3 point capacity

Like I said before, I'm making a guess on that weight just from past experience with some other small models. I would lean more toward to 700 lb side of that scale. You mentioned having a loader, I would first try to lift the tongue of the trailers up with the bucket. If it will handle them ok...

    Return fuel line

It should have a vent hole in the fuel cap. Sometimes they will get trash in them and can't properly vent the tank. Maybe that will be all that's wrong.

    Return fuel line

I've never had that problem before. If it's tight with the new clamps on it to me it sounds like it's building up pressure in the tank. Check the vent on the tank and make sure it is open.

    2wd

This is something I learned the hard way. It's much cheaper to get the tractor you need the first time instead of just settling on one that doesn't have the options you want. I bought a rops model M 9000 DT in 02 but really wanted a cab model instead. I was bushhogging one night and while going...

    3 point capacity

This is a guess but I would say between 700 and 1000 lbs. One thing for sure, if you don't have a loader on it the 3pt will lift more than the frontend can counter balance. My brother had a B 7500 DT. With the loader removed and a 4 ft light weight rotary cutter attached I could guab his...

    L245F locking diff operation

The diff lock on my L 3000 is really stiff also. It probably will always be that way because I have only used it 1 time in 10 yrs. The best way I know to unlock them properly is after you get out of what you were stuck in is to back up a few feet. I will also turn the wheels slightly from side...

L3400DT clutch adjust - PTO clutch froze?

Maybe that will be all that it is. Sometimes it's the simple things that really kick your butt. That would be nice if a simple readjustment would fix you up. Hope you get lucky.

    Sliggish B6200

It's a shame how some people treat their orange. My first Kubota was a 77 or 78 B 7100 DT. It had been really abused bad before my Dad bought it for me. I didn't care how it looked. I fell in love with that little orange machine. I was only 12 or 13 then and that was the best gift I ever had. I...

    2wd

My opinion is that 4WD is worth it's weight in gold. I have use my 4WD while bushhogging more than any other task I do. I don't know how many times I have went to cut across a ditch that looked okay and the bottom fall out. Or go cross ways thru a ditch and the cutter drag just enough to make...

L3400DT clutch adjust - PTO clutch froze?

I went back and read over your first post again about this clutch problem. By the way you described the adjustment process it doesn't sound like it's not to hard to get limited access to the clutch. It would be nice to just spray some kroil or some other good penetrating oil in there and let it...

L3400DT clutch adjust - PTO clutch froze?

Good idea on the wood block. It actually says to do that for storage purposes in my owners manual. Something you might try before you tamper with the safety switch. Engage the PTO with the engine off. Press the clutch in fully and get someone to hold it in for you. Take a pry bar and work the...

L3400DT clutch adjust - PTO clutch froze?

The very first thing I would check is the water drain plug in the bottom of the clutch housing to make sure it's dry. Are you pushing the clutch all the way thru both stages before you try to engage the PTO? It's easy to miss this step if you're not familiar with the tractor. A friend of mine...

    Sliggish B6200

If it's been sitting that long I guaranty that it has grown algae in the fuel. After cleaning the tank out I would put about 4 oz of marvelle mystery oil in with the clean fuel to help remove what's left and get the fuel system cleaned up. Even if that's not the problem it won't hurt anything to...

D-323; I'd like to know if

You are correct on the bobcat. They make several models with a Kubota engine. I believe the 700 series machines are all Kubota powered. A mechanic at our local bobcat dealer told me that the rings could be left out of the 743 series and they would still run fine just burn a little oil. He...

D-323; I'd like to know if

My brother and I did a lot of research on them and Scag just does a better job on their mowers. Like I told him though, it's hard to be perfect in everything. I'm sure the Kubota mower would do a good job but it just isn't the best in this case. Oh well, can't win them all.

I don't no for sure about that particular model but you may want to look at this. Don't get me wrong, I love my Kubota pruducts but they are lacking in my opinion in a few spots and lead the pack in others. I think the hyd lift is nice but not a must. The jack system is a great feature for...
