Very nice job on your filter guards and the great write up and pictures! I really like the mesh you used to be able to see the filters. With the price for the filter guards available on the net you saved yourself some coin.

If I don’t figure it out I’ll wait till the tractor gets delivered in a couple of weeks and see for sure. Really don’t want hoses any longer than necessary, seems the more excess hose you have the easier it would be to catch on stuff.

Looking for the hydraulic hose length connecting a Land Pride 1072 grapple to the Land Pride 3rd function connectors on the loader of a MX5400. The dealer I bought the grapple from said there are 2 hose lengths. I believe he said 44” and 51” and he said he was pretty sure I needed the shorter...

If I was moving something that tall and and worried about dents/scratches I would use a plastic pallet against the back of the forks straps and shipping blankets. Learned a lot of lessons in the warehouse over the years.

Very observant on the head rack being inset from the face of the forks. I drove Hilo’s for 40 years working in a distribution center handling some very precarious loads. For my uses I’m not sure it would justify the extra $100 for the E.A. forks but it is something to consider.

Thanks for the replies. Both are priced with 48” forks, figuring the longer length would give a better view of the fork tips. They are both over the rated lift capacity for the MX but for the price difference I have seen on lighter duty ones I can buy locally the $824 for the heavier ones...

Interesting that the individual dealerships “hold full discretion” concerning Kubota’s discount and reimbursement options. You would think that as a Kubota dealer you would be required to honor corporate Kubota’s reimbursement and discounts.

This is what one of the dealers I talked to told me. Was he trying to make corporate Kubota look like the bad guy instead of the dealership he works for, not sure.

FWIW, I had contact with 4 different dealers in the past few weeks. All 4 said they expected a 4-6% increase coming.

I ended up buying from a dealer that had one on the lot, but was twice as far away at 75 miles, to avoid the small claims court scenario. Honestly I think it’s crappy that Kubota (and others) won’t lock in a price when someone pays in full. My take on it is that the dealers “could” lock you in...

A dealer I talked to today said that previously prices were locked in as that was Kubota’s policy. He said Kubota is no longer locking in prices , thus price increases are getting passed on to the customers. Is this BS on the dealers part to increase profits…….Who knows.
