Beware of of the "latest and greatest" scam

Always keep conversations in PM and always use PayPal (NOT friends and family) to CYA. It doesn't hurt to vet the buyer or seller by having a quick phone call too, most of these scammers reside overseas.

    Hanix Mini Giant excavator?

No thank you, I'd like to keep my house and half of my shit 😂 I don't mind the "approval" which is more along the lines of me: "hey, I'm buying this" her: "no" me: "we need it for the house" her: "whatever, I don't want to hear the sales pitch" me: "ok, I'm buying it" Sometimes its good to...

    Hanix Mini Giant excavator?

Fair enough, looking forward to more progress once you get things sorted out. Your build has inspired me to scour the web for a micro/mini ex - not that I'll get the OK to buy one, but window shopping has been fun 😂

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Pushing 7.9 on my LX2610 so far, about ready to get that first greasing out of the way 😭 how long did it take you to do the full drain, fill, and filters?

    50 hour service

I plan on doing the HST fluid and filters at 50 hours. In cars, I've always changed the oil every 4-5k and transmission/diff/steering/brake fluids every 20-30k regardless of mfg. Recommendations. Fresh fluid imo goes a long way in helping supplementing equipment longevity. Just did both of my...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

My concrete piers showed up, all 2600lbs worth. They palletized them on pallets that would not accept a pallet jack without us busting them up with a crowbar (loaded by forklift). My driveway is also relatively steep so the driver let me hook up to the pallet jack and easily pull each busted up...

First time Orange buyer, would appreciate some input

Editing my comment because I didn't see they both had a hoe. I'd go with option #2 but keep looking around, there are lower hour units similarly priced online. Have you thought about going with a new unit? I believe Kubota still offers attractive financing and you don't have to worry about...

    Any Bathroom Designers Out There?

I've always done my own bathrooms because in a large majority of cases, tile contractors and plumbers skimp on properly waterproofing shower enclosures and tub surrounds. There is typically no recourse for this either after shoddy work has been done and paid for. Do a ton of research on...

Where did you buy that? I don't see it on the HF site anymore 😑

    Lifting with Chain/FEL

Unfortunately this mentality is gone in corporate America. Days seem longer and conversations with peers are without substance for fear of being offensive in some manner. Working from home has been a blessing for the simple fact that I can have candid conversations with my wife but that will...

    Lifting with Chain/FEL

That's one way to do it! Kudos to her for the ingenuity. 😂 I can palm a basketball, but those shackles are tiny, way smaller than I'd expect them to be. They are a miniature version of the photo on McMaster Carr's site 😂. They are supposed to have a 1500lb WLL each which pairs nicely with the...

    Garage/Workshop Build

Wasn't the purpose, OP had asked what 'bonding' is which is defined there. The reason why a subpanel is not bonded and the main is bonded is highlighted here: It is strange that Canada is so strict regarding certain aspects of electrical but so lax on others. A journeyman cannot do sidework...

2007 6040 seems to run out of fuel, what am I missing?

Some other good suggestions on this thread too. I bought a small bottle on Amazon. It should last a long time.

2007 6040 seems to run out of fuel, what am I missing?

I'd get a cheap fluid transfer pump, pump out the entire tank, pull the tank and inspect. There's probably a bunch of crud in there. Before you do that, throw in some algicide like biobor (shock treatment quantity) and see if that helps. It should clog your filter with dead algae if my theory is...

    Garage/Workshop Build

Looks like CEC and NEC are a little different regarding ground rods in outbuildings based on quick reading. I did some digging on electrical forums and it looks like all the US folk recommend it and the Canada folk call for running 4 wire from a bonded main to an unbonded sub panel will suffice...

    Lifting with Chain/FEL

I've lifted a few hundred pounds of rotting stumps to full height with just filled tires and she was stable so this gives me a bit more piece of mind. I have not been able to find any box blades online that I could get faster than 4-12weeks and Rural King is out of stock on their Cat1 ballast...
