    Hurry up and wait

It’s a cylinder. If I understood correctly, he just builds each cylinder as they’re ordered. A small one-man operation likely can’t afford the overhead of having piles of cylinders sitting on a shelf, ready to go. You call him up, figure out what you want, place the order, and get in line to...

    Hurry up and wait

Two options that I can see... 1). Super lazy and doesn’t want to do anything. 2). One man operation with what appears to be a solid reputation and following. Conscious about the product he provides, and is not willing to cut corners to get faster turnaround when he gets backed up. I am...

    Hurry up and wait

Pulled the trigger on a hydraulic top link for my B2650 yesterday. After reading so many positive posts and reviews, I went with a cylinder and flow restrictor kit from Brian at Fit Rite. Hope it’s worth it, as the lead time is quoted at 20 weeks! If that holds, I’ll see it mid-June...

L2501 Hydraulics - How far is too far?

As a new tractor guy, I can’t speak to the accuracy of my assumptions. But, here goes. I speculate that Kubota sets up machines to safely operate as they’re sold. Meaning no implement for ballast on the rear. Or loaded tires. My B2650 is as stock as it gets, with the exception of Rimguard...

    RTR-0550 tiller?

Thoughts on this behind a B2650? Fella at work has a line on one and I’m curious if it may be a little, well, little... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Factory website pricing Vs. dealer pricing

MSRP isn’t really a fictional number in other industries, but I’m sure it could roll into the tractor world in a similar fashion. Take boats or cars, for instance. Let’s use dumb, round numbers. MSRP is $50K Dealer cost is 20% less, meaning dealer paid $40K. Let’s say dealer needs...

That looks really nice! I’ll do that when I finally bite the bullet a add rear remotes... I guess if you do duals for T&T, you may as well do triple! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Just waiting on a rake...

Well, I didn’t take any photos, but I did put it to work today. Tuned up the driveway real nice. Over time, the gravel gets pushed out toward the ditches, so I was able to put some angle on the rake and recover that lost rock. Operation was great. Very nicely built piece, from what I can...

    Just waiting on a rake...

It finally arrived today. Loaded it in a utility trailer and hauled it home. Unloaded it and hooked it up to verify that the LP QH-10 fit it correctly (it does), and put it all away. Too wet to do anything for a bit here in western Oregon... Looks fantastic though!

    Just waiting on a rake...

Received tracking info yesterday. Estimated freight time is 5 days, which I think is pretty darned acceptable. It’s 3,000 miles... That said, there’s always a chance of weather related delays this time of year. I’ll report back when I receive it! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Just waiting on a rake...

Freight to my office, which meets all of the requirements for lowest cost, was $110. The requirements were that it is going to a business with standard working hours and a staffed loading dock or forklift. I work for a fire sprinkler company, so we’re very well equipped to receive freight via...

    Just waiting on a rake...

Pulled the trigger on a landscape rake from Everything Attachments this afternoon. In stock and ready to ship, but I’m about as far away as you could get, here in Oregon... Super nice folks to work with, and they answered any questions I had. I will be pretty stoked if it arrives before...

    Correct Hydraulic Fitting Sealant

Only tapered pipe threads need a sealant. Other threaded fittings rely on other means to seal the joint. Sometimes an o-ring, and sometimes a tapered seat. It is typically considered taboo to use Teflon tape on hydraulic systems, and it would not be my first choice of products. That said...
