Are pallet forks for a BX2680 even worth it?

I have used my forks with a spade to dig a shallow ditch for a French drain. Also, to reinstall the ramp for my shed 5 feet by 8 wide made out of 2X6's when I had to repair shed floor. It was a lot easier than than the removal by hand between a friend and I and we could barely lift the ramp.

Are pallet forks for a BX2680 even worth it?

I got these in the pin on version and I am happy with them: Redline Systems Forks

BX1880 still leaking; what to do?

Call the dealer back and tell them it was not fixed. I had to do that at least once since they had fixed a leak that I did not even know about but not the one I wanted fixed. Fortunately after three repaired leaks everything looks good so far.

    Picking up my grapple soon.

When I got my forks during the worst of the pandemic, they came on a small pallet and they loaded it with a fork lift straight into my pickup bed even with the topper on. My biggest issue was getting in, they only had one operating gate at the facility and it was for the big trucks. I had to...

    BX1880 questions

I had a few leaks on my BX1880 that the dealer fixed under warranty. One was the hydraulic connection for the third function on the HST that was loose. Another, was on two plugs on top of the HST that they had to remove and add some teflon tape. These two leaks would cause the HST fan to...

    How would you fall this?

In my case the roots on the "downed" side were still in the ground and bent back, acting like a spring. As soon as enough weight was removed, they would spring back to their normal position. The more weight removed at a time the more the "catapult effect".

Leaking Gear Oil By Front Differential Bevel Pinion Shaft / Damaged Collar

I would check the seal for damage. Before seal installation, I would wrap the shaft splines on electrical tape to prevent the splines from scoring the seal.

    How would you fall this?

I had one swamp maple like that across my driveway. I started cutting small sections beginning from the top. When I had about 12 to 15 feet left and cleared of the driveway, the sucker stood right up. Since it did not bother me anymore I left alone and it lived on for several more years.

Leaking Gear Oil By Front Differential Bevel Pinion Shaft / Damaged Collar

If I understand right, I think that it is not a damaged collar, I think that is the nut staked in place. The adjusting collar is behind the snap ring. I would check for radial play on the shaft and if it is excessive (causing the leak) then the bearings might need to be replaced.

    Ukraine

I thought that this thread was to discuss the events in Ukraine. Whether each member believed or not what was presented was up to them. I did not think that it would start another political debacle.

    Brownout Protection Suggestions

My sister lives in Puerto Rico and life over there presents constant challenges. She has a reservoir water tank with a pump to supply water with pressure to the house when the city water is not available (almost every day and at least a few hours). The system works fairly well but a new kink...

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

Well, yesterday I went to fill up my two 5 gallon jugs of diesel, to be ready, since we might be getting some bad weather this weekend. I felt pretty good about myself since after pumping both jugs I managed to lift them both and carry them to the back of the truck. Obviously, to lift them to...

TWA 800 fuel tank explosion theory

That day I will not forget and regret being where I was. I had been in my new job for less than a year in operations and I had already decided to go back to engineering where I had been for around nine years prior to this. My boss had "gracefully " obtained (he copied it from a legit overlay...

Land Pride SGC0548 Grapple Compatible with B2601?

I have the SGC0548 and it only fits the pin on FEL of the BX. It is not SSQA compatible . I had to go with the pin on system in order to get the lighter and smaller grapple. I believe that it is very hard to find a 48 in. grapple for the SSQA. However, this member makes them and has some for...

TWA 800 fuel tank explosion theory

What you are saying makes a lot of sense and it is very interesting. It is based on probabilities and it is not zero. However, like you say, it would be very hard to prove without finding the specific evidence. It seems that when these investigations get going, they get fixated on certain...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Mowed the weeds and I still had some energy to grease the FEL and mower. It is so dry that I managed to mow for the second time the "duck pond" low spot. Areas around us have gotten up to 10 inches of rain in one day which probably means that water level of the river (lagoon) surrounding us...
