    Drainage on trail

I did something similar with a shallow (not more than 18 inches) "French drain". I followed some of the advice of the "French Drain Man" with his burrito wrap technique using geotextile non-woven fabric 4 ft. wide from Amazon. It has 50 ft. of 4 in. corrugated perforated pipe with a total of...

    Daily Chuckle

It is pretty obvious that this is a forum full of old farts with short memories, the same jokes get repeated often. Either because they were good or they forgot that they were posted just a week ago. Ahh... what was I saying? :ROFLMAO:

    New BX 1880 Owner

Do you have R1 tires? I made the mistake of buying mine with them and the tires destroyed my lawn. The R1's had no traction when dry and would dig a hole in the sand, when wet, they would sink and dig a hole until there was traction. I had to use 4X4 most of the time just to mow. I replaced...

    BX2200 problems when using FEL

Let me ask the stupid question: Is the loader installed with the pins fully seated on both sides and nothing is twisting when lifting?

Can anyone ID this cotter pin from my BX?

My BX1880 does not have any pins like that. I would think that it is unique to your hitch.

BX 1880 Propeller Shaft Front Boot Replacement

Well I finally got it done today and it took me most of the day: I replaced the two snap rings, the four balls, the four dampers for the balls and the boot. All the parts I replaced, except for the dampers that had disintegrated, could have been reused. The hardest part was that both of the...

Hydraulic leak from 1880 FEL stick.

If you bought it from a dealer, call them with the serial number and they would be able to tell you if there is any warranty left. Mine had when new, 2 years "bumper to bumper" (as they called it) and with the finance deal 6 years on the powertrain.

    Bucket Edge

I spread some fill dirt with my bucket and regular edge by back dragging with the bucket almost leveled and in the float mode and I was very impressed with how well it worked. My only issue was that the fill dirt had some conch shells and when the edge would ride over them, it would leave a...

Hydraulic leak from 1880 FEL stick.

Mine had all kinds of leaks and they were all fixed under warranty.

BX 1880 Propeller Shaft Front Boot Replacement

I might be interested even though I already bought the parts from Messick, only $20 including shipping. I will try to replace them per whitetiger's directions. I bought the boot, both snap rings and 4 balls and dampers. I think that includes all the parts that can fly off and get lost forever...

BX 1880 Propeller Shaft Front Boot Replacement

Well, its a good thing I have been following this thread. Today, after two weeks, I got my tractor back from the dealer after the 200 hr. service. I found this:

Apparently, it is KTR-60 model and it works a lot better than I thought:

    BX 23 Front Drive Shaft

Something I have used on my classic Mini Cooper when trying to drill in a difficult place was to use a 1/16" drill bit on a Dremel with the 90 degree adapter. The speed of the Dremel will make a quick starting hole with a good drill bit.

Is that a "Rube Goldberg brand" mower? That thing is weird looking but I love it!

    Lennox Heat Pump Woes

Well, out of the blue the dealer showed up with the evaporator coil and it is installed. Even under warranty they charged me $993 for refrigerant only. Now, lets see what will break next. Three year old coil: New one:

    Drill Pump for transferring diesel

I use the cheap HF pump but like all the others pumps of this type, they don't last very long. As a backup, I got a Hand Crank Pump which might be more suitable for your application. I works well filling up the tank of a BX. However, I put an in line filter and some sealing tape on the threaded...
