How to quickly remove snow and rocker panel trim. 🙄

Ouch! Accidents happen, just make sure to learn from it. Too late now, but when working near objects, curl your bucket back so you can see the tip of your bucket (furthest point).

    Next price increase from Kubota?

I love my b2601, I think it or the SU would be a good choice too. Mine is a good in-between tractor; light enough to take across the lawn, but big enough to lift most loads off trucks, move items with the grapple etc.. I sometimes wish I had more weight for moving snow/earth work, or more pto...

    L2501 chain recommendation

I can't remember if they were bora or brotech but it's in my prior posts. The tires are rimguard filled so they were a little tricky to work with but I had some tricks mentioned (again in other posts).

    L2501 chain recommendation

In your pitcture the spacer would have been between the orange tire rim and the grey plate, i don't see anything for a spacer there. Usually folks just do the rears, I'd start there and see if it meets your needs. When plowing my fronts tend to pop into the air so they wouldn't help much. The...

    Best Time To Buy?

"Time to buy" for tractors these days is 6 months before you need it. Where timing DOES matter is when shopping for implements from Craigslist/Facebook market place. Mowers and the like stop being sold in late fall, early winter and will maybe be reposted in the spring. Fall might get you...

    Bucket Edge

Throw it in float and back drag away. Don't have the bucket perfectly straight down of course , but for dirt you don't need much of an angle to spread and pack down.

    Bucket Edge

FEL might be your best bet. I had to regrade part of my yard and spread 7yds or top soil just recently. The back blade worked well, and the box blade where I needed perfect flattness, but I ended up using my bucket for most of it to add a slight slope. You can get great control with...

    B2601 Wheel Spacers?

The spacers are pretty easy to put on if you do something like the 2" ones that do NOT involve removing the existing studs. It wasn't much more of a pain than changing car tires, just take it as a mental challenge and spend some time thinking it through and plan the work. I'm a pretty skinny...

    Hills

I got 2" Steel Bora wheel spacers; rear only (I've heard nothing but "don't do it" for the fronts). Tires are R14 filled with Rimguard. 2" was kind of the sweet spot of being a nice step up without the tires exceeding my ~60" bucket/angled back blade width (when snow plowing). I have a 100yard...

Wheel spacers are a must with the 2601, it made a major difference in stability for mine. See my post history for pictures.

    QH15 vs. PTO, argh

You got used to it after a little bit. Not sure how others do it but I hook up the 3pt first, lift the mower fully (an FDR1660) then go for the pto. Lifting the 3pt all the way gets the top link somewhat out of the way and lets me spin the blades with my right hand while holding the pto with my...

    Jacking up the B2601

Assuming you have solid, flat ground I would jack in the center of the rear axle. When doing that I would put a jack on either side just in case it tipped or moved (I did not let the jack down all the way on the stands). One tip, you'll see I had plywood out, that was so I could jack the tire up...

As a B2601 owner that might have gotten too small a tractor, this certainly has me interested.

What do i need to tow?

Not sure on the B2650 but my B2601 came with a draw bar, I just needed a 2" ball with extra long threads from Tractor Supply. I just brought the draw bar along and made sure the one with long threads was long enough to pass through the bar and get the lock washer/nut on. I always keep the...

72" rear discharge mower on B2601?

What are the conditions and grass? Fdr1660 is a pretty heavy attachment but goes fine with just the loader up front and no bucket. Last night I mowed for the first time in two weeks and with a very wet lawn and it handled it fine except for a few areas of thick grass and weeds where I had to...

    Electric wood splitters

Supersplits pair well with electric motors since it relies on kinetics and not so much the motor to split. I have the 5.5 horse gas and its an amazing splitter.

    Box blade advice

Best piece of advice my first time on a tractor: Your first time you WILL screw it up, it WILL be ugly, BUT you have in your hands all the tools you need to fix it and make it right! Take your time, you won't fix the road in 2 passes it takes time and a number of passes/work. Just as the others...

Parking brake doesn’t hold on slope

I do the same, or my box blade/scraper blade (I keep them on 99%of the time). I'll be honest, I've forgotten to hit the brake or release the parking brake leaver when I get back on the tractor too many times, so dropping the front or back impliment is my preferred method most of the time.

    New Passenger

Too much paint on that bucket, go out there and fix that! ;) Congrats on the upgrade. I love my B2601, but from time to time I daydream about an upgrade to an L series.
