Gear Box Gone In Blower on F2100

I hope it doesn't come to cutting it off...we will see. The top of he shaft had been smacked by the looks of it. I tried to file around it to take off any mushroom affect but, may have to go at it again. I ordered a new puller and got my oxygen cylinder this morning. I will give the suggestions...

Gear Box Gone In Blower on F2100

Sorry, I meant to post pictures but was a bit frustrated and forgot. I have posted them below. There are two set screws on the sprocket, they are both recessed about a half inch or so inside. One came out with penatrating oil and the head wasn't rounded, the other that presses against the keyway...

Gear Box Gone In Blower on F2100

Well... I think I'm at a stop. I can't get the sprocket off. The set screw is rounded, I tried a screw extractor with no luck. I have drilled the set screw out and still can't get the sprocket to budge. Actually broke my puller trying. I applied lots of heat all around and used tthe puller but...

Gear Box Gone In Blower on F2100

Thanks... I first saw the partstree site, however they have suspended all shipping to Canada because of pandemic, so has the other one. The only one I can find that says they will ship to Canada is SEPW ( Small Engine Parts Warehouse). Good to see Jacks has bearing size :). I think the housing...

Gear Box Gone In Blower on F2100

Yes I may try a princess auto or somewhere like that. Problem with it is that there's not much left of the bearing. Right now I am having a problem trying to get the sprocket off. There are 2 set screws, I got one out, the other one was totally rounded out so I am having a difficult time...

Gear Box Gone In Blower on F2100

I do have a Princess Auto near by but, Don't know if they will carry this type of bearing and triangle housing... I can't find any blowers that look like mine by looking for the Massey Ferguson M50.. I think I have found that it might be a Simplicity 1691360. I did a lot of looking around by...

Gear Box Gone In Blower on F2100

Yes, I believe you are correct. But, I haven't got it apart yet. I have to remove the blower from the front and turn it up so I can get at whats left of the bearing. Then I should hopefully be able to remove it and try to match it up. I will post pictures as I find more out... Thank you.

Gear Box Gone In Blower on F2100

I don't see a reduction assembly on the back. Looks like the fan shaft goes into a bearing ( doesn't look to be all there anymore) and then to the sprocket. But, as I mentioned before, I am beginning to believe that this blower is not a Kubota. Still don't know the make and model but I am...

Gear Box Gone In Blower on F2100

I wasn't going to weld them, I believe they are welded by the previous owner because I don't see any pins in them at all. And, it looks like some weld to me. I also started to remove some of the auger system to see if I could see how difficult it is going to be to come apart. I don't know if...

Gear Box Gone In Blower on F2100

Here is a picture of the label. It has to do with shear pins. I am pretty sure this is not a Kubota blower but, trying to figure out the make and model may be a treat, maybe a briggs and stratton or something like that. Had a closer look when I took this picture. Looks like where the impeller...

Gear Box Gone In Blower on F2100

Thank you so much for all the information. I am beginning think that the blower is either not a Kubota or some different model. The gearbox on mine looks nothing like the diagrams shown. These all seem to be beefier than the one I have. The gearbox on my machine doesn't look any different then...

Gear Box Gone In Blower on F2100

Hi I have an F2100 with a blower on the front. I purchased the unit used and it did need some TLC. When I got it there was no oil in the gearbox on the blower and it seemed like it had some slop to me. I got it to hold oil and it seemed better until today when the gear box gave up. It makes a...

Thanks for the feedback guys... I guess its not that big of deal that some fins are missing. I only use this machine in the winter for blowing snow. temperature never goes above 170 F even if its mild outside. Glad I asked the questons. I was concerned with temperatures of the deisel getting...

    Radiator and Running Temperature

Hi I have an F2100 and I noticed that the radiator is missing some cooling fins. First, is it better to have the rad re cored or try to find another one ? Originals are a ton of money here , re cores might be too ! Any thoughts ?? Second, what is the correct operating temperature for the motor...

    F2100 Snow Blower

I purchased an F2100 with a blower attachment on the front. I was wondering how I would tell what the model of the blower is. I have looked around and I don't see any markings on it. Thought I might be looking in the wrong place. I want to buy some shear bolts for it and want to make sure I get...

Bearing removal in Rear Axle steering(4x4)

You are correct, I keep calling that the front of the tractor for some reason, it is the back and I have changed the title of the post...sorry. The problem is that both the top and bottom bearings are recessed so a puller of that type doesn't look like it will work. I have looked at other...
