From what I was told when the tractor was delivered, I should have the bucket at about a 20 deg angle when setting on the ground to lift enough to release the pins. I'm new to all of this so that is the reason for asking. I also wondered if the bucket could be flat to the ground to start...
I have a heavy hitch tooth bar on order and am wondering if I can leave it on the bucket when I take the FEL off to install the snowblower in the fall. Not sure if the tooth bar can take the stress of lifting the front end to release the pins.
Took of the snowblower and installed the fel. The thought of doing it was more intimidating than actually doing it. Then I got some practice with the buckt moving piles of snow around, especially the high one at the end of the driveway. Made it a lot safer to pull out onto the road.
Being new to tractors, when I bought my LX2610 I didn't think to ask the dealer for a WSM. I've looked online at kubota books and other places and have not found one out there. Anyone know if there is one available on the free sites yet?
Just finished up clearing out from the storm. The snow was really heavy. Had to unclog the chute 6 times and stalled out twice while blowing. I was going slow and at full throttle, but man what a workout. I wound up using the rear blade quite a bit to help with the heavier stuff.
Thanks, that was another one that I was considering. I don't believe I will need a heavy duty model as I'm only taking out saplings and maybe a little bigger and then plan on using the bucket to dig holes for new trees/shrubs elsewhere.
I have really enjoyed using my LX2610 for snow removal so far. The cab is the best for being comfortable using the snow blower. My hydraulic chute controls are run off a diverter valve so no need for a 3rd function. I also like the rear blade to allow me to drag the snow away from our buildings.
I have the same machine and had the same situation. Measure the diameter of the holes in the drawbar and also the thickness of the db. I went to tractor supply and was able to find a clevis that fit.
We got around 8". I got out with the snowblower before the rain hit so I could get most of the snow taken care of. Once the rains stopped, I used the rear blade to take care of the slush that was left over. I really like having both of those implements for snow.
When I ordered my LX2610 I asked about a block heater (I live in Central Maine) and the dealer recommended not installing one. He said it was just another maintenance item to go bad and that he has not had problems starting tractors in his lot just using the glow plugs. I store mine in an...
Newbie question,, Is it ever too cold to run your tractor? What comes to mind are hydraulic hoses too cold/brittle and anything else that might be over stressed due to temperature.
Had some icy snow today. Got to try out the rear blade for the first time. Not enough for the snowblower but the blade did a great job. One thing I learned is that I need to be aware of the blade and blower when moving around. I came really close to the house on one of my turns. Once you start...
I checked the torque on my lug nuts after the first 5 hours and found that one of the front studs was stripped. Had the dealer come out and replace it. Was told that it was probably due to an overly agressive impact gun during set up.
