To fill or not to fill...also, spacers

The Ltd Edition is a bit less expensive. I was initially looking btw MX5400, L4701 now replaced by L4802. So started chatting w folks here and at dealers regarding new L4802. Grand L4760 was out of my price range w implements. L4802 was my initial interest though I noticed smaller HP Grands...

To fill or not to fill...also, spacers

You’re spot on regarding the rear rims being pushed out further. I’m doing that for certain to widest point. I read i. the forum (not the post) somebody had a L4060 and added 2.5 inch spacers after pushing his rims out. He indicated stability increased noticeably & tractor was made re stable...

To fill or not to fill...also, spacers

Griz, Bro-Tek recommend 3 inch spacers for each rear wheel. The gent I spoke w at Bro-Tek mentioned that spacing on fronts is not required & potentially puts extra stress on front axles during loader / grapple work. He indicated the cab adds several hundred pounds and the wider stance will...

To fill or not to fill...also, spacers

I’m working w Messicks on a Grand L4060 HSTC at the moment. I live in Warrenton, VA & our property is hilly. I’ve had several “holy moly” moments on my 60 inch cut ZT. I spoke w Bro-Tek this week & they recommended at least 3 inch spacers on both rear wheels. Front spacers not required...

Great feedback and insight. Thank you for taking the time to respond with such detail, information & clarity of thought. Much appreciated. The “orphan comment” wasn’t me … it was me responding to another who Orange Tractor Member who indicated the L4701 / L4802 are orphans. According...

Cath, I think you’re missing something … the “orphan model” outsold the MX last year 3 to 1 at 3 different dealers I’ve spoken with. I will tell you … I like the FEL lift capacity of the MX5400. We’ll see ….

    I’m deciding between the following 3 tractors: Grand L4060 - 51k w implements L4802 - 55k w implements MX 5400 - 57.6k w implements My goal was to keep all in cost under 60k

    Kubota L4802

Sat down w my dealer last week. He indicated that btw their 3 locations in Virginia they are only slated for 3 L4802’s. He was frustrated as all 3 dealer locations sold dozens & dozens of the L4701 this past year. He said it was one of their best selling compact Kubotas. They seem to move a...

Sparky Prep … well played Sir. I’m still waiting to hear from my dealer. I will reach out to him Friday. Looking at the Grand L4760 as well. Want the L4802 but I am not sure when they will arrive. The Grand L4760 is more than I’d like to pay … we’ll see.

    Kubota L4802

Yes Sir … you’ve arrived at the right place. The 4701 is a heck of a tractor. My dealer has sold through all of his remaining 4701’s (6) and is awaiting delivery of the 4802’s. Looks like late July … maybe August. I guess we’ll find out.

    Kubota L4802

Gents, Below is what I got back from my dealer regarding delivery of the L4802: “So far I do not have any updates on the L4802 I really wish they would let us know something due to the fact we are out of L4701’s” Not much to go on … but it’s what the salesman I’m working with knows.

Sparky, Brian Wood & Steve H … nothing back. Called my dealer day before yesterday. Emailed him a few days ago looking for a L4802. Nothing back yet. Will keep you all posted once I hear something back. Take care.

Brian, I think late July is more likely. The dealer I’m working with is reliable & customer service is top notch. I’ll keep updates coming as I learn more. Take care.

Sparky Prep & B. Wood, Below is the response from my dealer: They have stopped shipping us the L4701; hopefully, the L4802’s are on the way, we finally received the LX4020 but I believe that tractor would not do what you would be asking it to do. You are more than welcome to stop by and take a...

    Kubota L4802

Fried & Sparky, I’d really be shocked if anything delivered prior to end of July. I anticipate end of August as realistic. Frustrating … I’d really just like an honest : “Look fellahs it won’t be till late August … we’re doing our best as Kubota Dealers; we are at the mercy of Grapevine...

When you are thinking you had a bad day, but bet it is not as bad as this grandmother's day

FBI needs to investigate those darn python supremacists. Dangerous bunch they are … They are just not finding enough white supremacists. I think if they spent more time on Alligator, Crocodile & Python Supremacists … they’d really be onto something good.

That’s a frustrating, sorry to hear that. I was getting nothing back from the JD dealer near me, couple of massive farms literally across the road from the dealership. It seems if I wasn’t going to spend at least 200k … they just couldn’t be bothered with me. It’s crazy bc I was really...
