    Be careful

I can't believe the difference the front loader makes to a tractor. I've been driving tractors since I was a kid but this L3450 is the first I've driven with a loader. The difference between having the loader low or off completely on hilly ground is astounding. For the sake of the 10 minutes it...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I don't know if it would be an issue, but it sounds like the front wheels would have been submerged. Water may have pushed it's way past some seals around there.

    Skidding winch

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gWQUeJgczc I hope you can see the "V" pulley I was on about before in this. Once "hooked in" you don't need to touch it again. This is only play fishing. In reality, these pull the boat along the rope with no need for a driver or stopping the pulley every time...

    Skidding winch

No. If the rope is sized properly for the pulley they have a very good grip. You are basically just coiling the rope. If you look at "Deadliest Catch" that is what they are using to haul the pots, except bigger. On the boat I used to fish you had to set the pressure release valve so that it...

    Skidding winch

I was trying to post when the laptop calved. I was thinking of something like a pot hauler that they use on boats. It is like a "V" pulley instead of a capstan and there is a "knife" to stop the rope getting caught in the groove. To disengage the pulling action you simply pull sharply on the...

    Your Lane Muddy?

We have been using a version of that here for years with MF135s. If the trailer wheels are the same size as the tractor wheels then you can just use the "ground pto" without any need for gearing or hydraulics

    Implement lowering speed knob

Had this in a previous life. I was over aggressive with the knob and broke it. Ended up I had to put a vise-grip on the shaft and turn it with that. Basically, don't get too strong with it.

Great pics. Keep them coming. I'd love to get a good telescope but can't justify the expense when we get so few clear nights.

Unless it's imperial gallons which would give you 50 litres and much easier maths. 100ml or 1/10th of the bottle

I know of a couple of printers that sometimes will not start. The fix from the manufacturers has everyone baffled but it works. 1 Unplug it from the wall 2 Open the ink drawer 3 Take the fuse out of the plug 4 Put the same fuse back into the plug 5 Plug it back into the wall 6 When it tells you...

Attachment(s) for cutting a pad into a slope?

Use the backhoe for digging and use the loader for moving. Remove the topsoil first before you start digging into the gravel and pile it aside for use later. Remember that you are not going to be digging to level the ground to its lowest point. Use high areas to fill low areas and you won't...
