    Looking at new B2650 and

I'll heartily second this opinion. I have a 60" box scraper on one of my B7510's and a really heavy 48" box scraper on the other one. For comparison I have a 60" straight blade on my B2410. The box scrapers are like the secret sauce for grading and finishing. My neighbors all love my ability...

Is a cab a wise purchase

Have owned 4 B-series Kubotas, three of which were open-station tractors. Sold one so am now down to 3 tractors. I liked the cab so much on my first B7510 that I scrounged around and found a used cab to mount on my second B7510. It is a much better cab than the Curtis aftermarket cab on my...

    Deck wheels

Very fortuitous timing as I'm giving thought to sprucing up the wheels on my 54" MMM. Now that I see those prices I'm thinking they'll get another season or two of use prior to replacement! :-)

    Front snowblower on new BX2380

I'll second this sentiment. I have three B-series tractors, all with front-mounted blowers and rear-mounted blades, two of the blades being box scrapers. I feel zero need for a FEL during the winter. And we get a LOT of snow.

Snowblower Front mount or rear PTO - Thoughts?

Same deal here - all three B-series tractors have rear blades - two of them are box scrapers, one is a very ugly home-made straight blade. The weight is nice to balance the front-mounted blowers, plus it's great to be able to back up to a garage or hangar door and pull the snow away. This...

2003 Kubota B7500 intro, pics and MMM id help

Spiro - where are you in NB? Wife is from Grand Falls so often visit there... Looks like you have a good machine. I have a B7510 with the 60" MMM and a B2410 with the 54" MMM. So far, I would say that having a 3pt hitch-mounted rear mower would be my preference. Once the MMM is mounted you...

Snowblower Front mount or rear PTO - Thoughts?

I'm with NIW on this one... Here in the Ottawa Valley we get lots of snow. This winter I had several days where I logged between 6 & 8 hours in a single session on the tractors, here and at the airport. In January I logged over 25 hours on the airport tractor alone. I've done the same thing...

    B7800

For reference I have pulled a 5' offset disc harrow with our B7510 (21 engine hp) equipped with R1 tires and no additional weight (no loader, tires not loaded, no suitcase weights, nothing other than a bare, open-station tractor). The soil was light loam and quite dry. It was slow going in low...

    Green Vs Orange

I walked into our local JD dealer and took one look at their "take it or leave it" attitude and walked out. A few miles away was a Kubota dealer where a salesman stood beside the tractor and asked me what I wanted to do with the machine, what implements I might need, etc. Talked for likely 15...

    DIY Snowblower Chute Rotator

Not sure what blower or tractor you have, so without that info your question is more than a little difficult to answer. Have you considered going electric? I recently converted one of my blowers to a winch-powered rotator and it works well. Last weekend I converted another one to rotate via...

Made myself a Shute rotator motor

Updating this thread with a couple of pics of a chute rotator using the "other" power seat motor available from Princess Auto - this one features an Acme screw as its output shaft. Just file a flat on the Acme screw thread and drill to accept the cross bolt that previously attached the manual...

    Snowblower Chute Mod-Linear Actuator

As a follow-up to this conversation I'll mention that last night I got to try out my modified B2550 front mounted blower for the first time. Two hours of heavy work, often with banks the full height of, or higher than the blower. The linear actuator to control discharge chute elevation works...

    Never been more disappointed

My response to the dealer would be, "YOU sold it to me, so why didn't you tell me it would be a piece of s**t? You sold it, you fix it. End of conversation." The dealer made good money selling you the cab - they're responsible for making it right, or refunding your money. BTW, I have an...

    Linear actuator on snowblower

Just put a Princess Auto 4", 200lb linear actuator on a snowblower chute today. Works well on the heavier-duty blowers with their thicker metal. The one today, on a B2550, wasn't quite as successful as a result of the metal in the chute being of lighter gauge so it's flexing more than I'd...

    A serious question

First of all, my deepest sympathies to you, Skeets. Have been facing similar circumstances... To say it's difficult would be an understatement. With respect to final wishes, in 2017 I lost both my step-mother and mother, less than a month apart. Step-mother had written down nothing, but her...

Frost shields old style from 1970's

I still have a pair of windshields from a Cessna 421. They were removed when a pilot of a Cessna 172 forgot to look out at his wingtip while taxiing, resulting in his wingtip running across both left and right windshields of the 421, scrapping them. That was a lot of years ago and they cost...

Why didn't I know about these???????

For those of us who aren't able to see the video, what are the model of these Kenda tires, their sizes, and where did you source them? I'd be interested to see if they have a broad enough range of sizes such that I might source replacements for the turf tires on my B2410. Mine aren't worn out...

    Showtime or snowtime?

I will agree that, at first blush, the plow is faster and more fuel efficient. Now add some wind. The resulting drifts on the downwind side of the banks pushed up by the plow will rapidly change the time and efficiency equations. In the long run, where there is any meaningful accumulation of...

Box Blade 48 or 54 in.

I have a 60" box blade on one B7510 and a 48" on the other. Both work just fine, but I can pull a bigger pile of gravel with the 48" box blade. The 60" blade is a lot nicer to work with as a result of its extra width, just a lot fewer passes to get the job done.

Power beyond port vs tank port

Power beyond typically is just a screw-in adapter. If adding a loader valve to a Kubota like yours, you need a 3-port valve, inlet, power beyond and tank return. The power beyond port gets tied back into the hydraulic block on the tractor where it provides high-pressure hydraulic flow to the...
