    Smallest 4-wheel tractor

Kubota makes 2 very small gear drive tractors that can be configured with a loader, B2320 and B2401. They are both 45" wide with ag tires (not including bucket). Narrow models of both tractor are available and run 35" wide but are not available with a loader. If you really want a very narrow...

    Analysis Paralysis L2501/LX2610SU…….B2601

I was going through the same thing. I only have a couple acres with some tight spaces I wanted to be able to get the tractor into. In the end I went with the B2401 because the physical size of the L2501 would have been cumbersome on my property. However, in your situation I would go with the...

    New tractor-B2401

I was just going over everything on the new tractor and the tires are filled with water (and at 35PSI). I dropped the pressure down to 18PSI (which still feels to high) and will see how it goes. The dealer didn't mention filling the tires but I'm glad they did and that explains some how how I...

    New tractor-B2401

I meant to attach a pic to my prior post, the posts I pulled were without ballast because I wasn't moving any weight on the loader and I wanted to see how the tractor handled. I wouldn't drive around with weight on the loader and no ballast. While moving logs I had my box blade on the 3PH. It...

    New tractor-B2401

I put a couple hours on the new tractor today, I like it a lot. So far I wouldn't change a thing but I do need to add some more weight because it runs out of traction very quickly. Maybe I just need to learn the limitations of the tractor but the loader capacity is less than I expected. I...

    New tractor-B2401

For me the layout is more significant than the mechanical differences. The L has 4 gears on the center floor mounted shifter and H-N-L-R on the range selector to the left of the seat. The B has L-M-N-H on the range selector to the left of the seat and R-1-2-3 on the gear selector to the right...

    New tractor-B2401

I just picked up a new B2401 today. By the time I got home from the dealer it was late so I only had time to unload it, move a few things around and put it in the shop but my initial impressions are that its very ergonomic and easy to operate, its very small (TINY!) and maneuverable and there...

    Third function valve kit

The dealer quoted me $1330 for the kit installed, they quoted me $696 for the Land Pride kit (380-149A) which does appear to use flexible hydraulic lines. The Kubota kit is part number B1672, which they said was $100 more but not currently available. A quick internet search pulls up several...

    Third function valve kit

Thanks D2Cat, that is good to know that the Kubota kit comes with steel lines along the loader, thats probably worth the extra money. I have looked at the install instructions and it does require removal of the rear tire but aside from that it looked pretty straight forward.

    Third function valve kit

My dealer wants $1300 for the Kubota kit installed. I think they bill for 3-4 hours to install it. If I buy the Summit kit and install it myself I save $750 which will pay for an implement. I would much rather have another implement and have no issues or concerns about installing the 3rd...

    Third function valve kit

I’m planning to pick up my new B2401 this Friday. I’m getting a grapple with the tractor but I don’t want to pay the dealer to install the third function valve kit. I’m wondering if anyone has experience with the different options. It looks like Land Pride, Kubota, WR Long, and Summit...

    Box Blade size-B series

So much helpful information. I was very close to going with the 54***8221; because of the dealer recommendation and ***8216;conventional wisdom***8217; against my instinct and concern for traction with such a small and light tractor. 6***8221; isn***8217;t a huge difference but my need is...

    Box Blade size-B series

I’m going to finance a box blade with the purchase of my new tractor (B2401) and I’m trying to decide on a 48 vs 54”. Advice has been to match the box with the bucket size (54”) but the tractor is only 44” wide with Ag tires. The choices are Land Pride BB1248 and BB1254. The weight difference...

    BXX01 length w/ loader

Thanks for the good ideas. I need to replace the 36" door on the shed with a wider sliding door and I wanted to be sure the tractor would fit with the loader before I modify the door. It sounds like the worst case scenario would be dropping the bucket (SSQA) and pull forward which is no big...

    BXX01 length w/ loader

Thanks! Looks like my 12' shed will be a little short but it should fit without the bucket until I get a larger building built.

    BXX01 length w/ loader

First post here. I am waiting on the arrival of a new B2401 and I'm trying to find the overall length of the BXX01 series with the loader and bucket. Anyone know the length Bucket on the ground, all the way back to the 3PH arms? I'm trying to determine if it will fit in my tool shed. I've...

    B2401

First post, I’m in the process of finalizing the deal on a B2401 with R1 tires and 54” SSQA bucket. I only have a few acres but I have a lot of trees to take out and some heavy landscaping to do (grading, moving rocks, bushes, etc) and a LOT of wood chips to make. I was about to pull the...
