L3301 adding top and tilt? (already have remote)

My valves have floats on them. If your valves do not have a float option, then you may want to get cylinders with “locking blocks”.

L3301 adding top and tilt? (already have remote)

Here are some pictures of my valves for rear remotes, top and tilt cylinders, and the extension that I fabricated to make up for the extra length of my Pat’s quick hitch. My welding skills are mediocre, but improving!

L3301 adding top and tilt? (already have remote)

I fabricated an extension that attaches to the tractor where the top link normally is pinned. Easier to take a picture than explain. I will take a picture later today, and post.

L3301 adding top and tilt? (already have remote)

Hi minthral, I also have an L3301. I added 3 remotes that I mounted to the ROPS. I got my top link cylinder from Agri Supply (apart # 90599). It has worked very well for me. When I added Pat’s quick hitch, I had to make up an extension because it was too short after extending the...

    Ford Lightning all Electric Truck

Boakley, I like your optimism! Jay, I respect your pessimism. I suspect that the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I believe that EVs will be inevitable as PART of the world’s solution to energy and the environment. I would love to have a Ford Lightning. I am willing to live with it’s...

    wood chipper feed roller

Ebinator, I do not have experience with 3 pt chipper/shredders that are made in the US. I do buy US made whenever I can. My priority was chipping, and my Woodmax is the 4th chipper that I have owned. First was a Kemp chipper/shredder powered by 10 hp engine. Great shredder...

    wood chipper feed roller

I have a Woodmax WM8H chipper coupled to my L3301. Like Mikester says, the feed rate is dependent on the sharpness of the blades. When my feed rate goes down, I know that it is time to either reverse the blades, get them sharpened, or get new blades. Green wood is a lot easier on the blades...

    Tire Chains

^ jimh hit the nail on the head. I actually do have chains for my rear tires, but have never needed them, even with a 17” snow and extreme slopes. Front chains are easier to put on for sure, but steering is the big issue. Especially where I live, and our driveway and private roads have...

    Tire Chains

I am in the mountains of Western NC. I use chains on the front tires if we get a big snow (not that common). I only need the chains because of the extreme slopes here. In an area that is flat, I doubt that you will have a need for chains.

    Backhoe Hydraulics - Other Uses?

I have an L3301 with BH77. So not identical; but possibly similar. I added a 3rd function valve into the circuit in a manner similar to what you describe. Then I added a 3 spool valve that I mounted to the ROPS and can operate from the driving position. This 3 spool valve was added by using the...

Nice trailer! Back-up lights? I didn’t know you could get those on a trailer. That would be very handy. Jack

    PTO Wood Chipper

I have the Woodmax 8H chipper. It has been a great machine so far for me. I used to have a large, tow-behind diesel chipper in a former life. I am not disappointed in the smaller Woodmax. I opted for the higher quality PTO shaft with the quick connect coupling. Very satisfied with that as...

Decided to go Piranha tooth bar

It took over a month to get mine a year ago. Very satisfied; but the wait was somewhat agonizing. They do seem very prompt on charging your card! If you want to inquire about your order, you need to call them. They did not respond to my emails. Jack

    Thinking about selling the l3301

Hi Dan, Backhoe is “72”, not “77”?? My 3301 has a BH77 backhoe. What type of transmission? HST? Condition of tractor and age are important, too. Has it been stored inside? Depending on condition, I would think that a 3301 with a backhoe and FEL would be well worth $24,000. But these...

    B2650 Chippers

I opted for the Woodmax. I had to pick up the chipper at a freight terminal, since I live on a mountain road where no large trucks are allowed. I am powering with my L3301 (HST). I do not chip anything larger then 4” - anything bigger is cut for firewood. I am impressed with the quality and...

BH77 backhoe on L2501 - with one operator in each seat

On my 4 year old L3301 with BH77 backhoe the seats are too close together to both be upright. One has to be flipped up to use the other.
