Repair bent roller bar on LA535 loader

I agree Jay. It would seem like some kind of small I-beam shape or box tubing maybe 4" or so would resist twist better than a piece of round stock only about 1-1/4" that is the oem design. Bill

Repair bent roller bar on LA535 loader

Because I have seen others have this problem I came up with this before i used my grapple. It may need something different with other styles but for mine it just flips over to lock or unlock. I also added some perforated steel to the large opening in my grapple. The hole for the lock is drilled...

    Hydraulic top link

I did what you said by teeing my 3rd function so I have it front and back. I use it in back when I have the BH77 on for my home made hydraulic thumb. I bought a pendant switch from Surplus Center and paralleled the 3rd function switch so i can use it from the backhoe seat and it works really...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I have used a method I used a method in the past with yellow jackets in the ground. If you find the hole, come back at night and put a glass jar over it preferably a gallon one . Leave it for a couple days, they won't be able to get out and will die. I added my own twist and spray the foaming...

    02 BX22, hydraulic issue

If you were to connect one half of the coupling missing inner parts to another that had parts intact it wouldn't pass fluid, right? There would be nothing to push the opposite side open.

    Welding cast pto frame

I recently made my own 3pt tilt cylinder by cutting off the obvious cast steel ears on the base end and welding on steel to make the angle required. I could see that it was welded to the cylinder steel so i assumed I could make it work and it does. The only thing different than a bought one was...

    Welding cast pto frame

There is a way to tell by the sparks thrown when a grinding wheel is used to tell if it is cast iron or steel which I don't recall for sure. Also if you tried to drill a unimportant spot I think you would see the difference as cast iron makes kind of a powder and steel a curl. I agree with Jay...

Alright in about to lose my mind

Husquavarna 2754 had a lever you moved and latched to de-tension the belt, a pretty nice design. Just reminded me of many years ago when whirlpool washers had a belt before the coupling. Always failed and didn't spin out leaving it full of water. You had to get the clothes and water out, unhook...

Alright in about to lose my mind

I admit I didn't see that belt coming off the back pulley in the first pictures. But was convinced it went on the front one when you posted your buddies. Glad you got it done finally! Bill

Tractor for 10 NY acres of flat, clay soil and wetland forest?

I live in central ny with 10 acres of clay. I had and kept my 8N with a front mounted power angle plow for my snow and 300+ driveway. getting back to the L2501 I find it with r14's gets around good in the clay or snow. I use the fel to push banks back if need be but don't use it for snow plowing...

Alright in about to lose my mind

I thought that might be the case but he posted pictures of his friends identical tractor and that one appears to be out on the larger front one. Said the belt is the same as the original one too. I am headed back to the sidelines to see what happens as it appears I was wrong. Hope he get's it...

Alright in about to lose my mind

It doesn't maybe go on the smaller crank pulley behind the large one instead? maybe check to see if that one is lined up with the compressor one not the front one. Hard to tell from the picture but that smaller one looks like it has wear pattern on it. Bill

Anyone have pictures of a Grand L 60 grill they welded up?

I welded mine on the back of angle iron frames then drilled holes thru the sides to fasten. The bottom section is fastened at the bottom and I think comes against some of the frame to keep it from pushing back. the object in the middle of the lower is the camera that I have so I can change it's...

    Rear View Camera

I put one on my 8N several years ago as it is my firewood tractor and I transport pallets of wood and logs on my homemade 3pt forks. Works great in keeping an eye on it when traveling out of the woods. I installed one on the front of my L2501 grill guard to help with seeing the forks on that...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Thanks for the extra info and pictures. I think you did quite a nice job with the way it mounts. I like things that only take a pin or in this case a turnbuckle to lock it in place. Bill

    Chiropractic footrest!!

Back problems here too! Good idea. One thing I noticed with a lot of my working years bending and kneeling down to work on machinery it dawned on me one day i was always kneeling on my right knee and crouching on left foot. I made a attempt to always be on both knees with a foam pad to get the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Nice! Now if you could show how your pole attaches to the bucket that would be nice too. I was thinking about making something like that and looks like a good idea! Bill

BT600 backhoe swings right but not back left

Linkage from the handle to the valve loose? Just an idea. I only have a BH77 on mine but have found the linkage on that loose in places with only a 100 hrs on it. Checked it again when i put it on a couple weeks ago. Hope it is simple Tractor Gal Bill
