    Tall cherry trees are down

Thanks again for the pictures and suggestions! Hard to beat the natural beauty of wood especially when combined with a good craftsman. Magicman, I am going with your suggestion and having them sawed at 2 1/2. Thanks!

    Tall cherry trees are down

Thanks for everyones insight! I think perhaps I will try and go with a 2 inch slab and go from there. The largest of the three measures about 20 inches at the butt end of the cut. I am also ok with joining two slabs in the middle. It will be a fun and interesting project for me and I am sure a...

    Tall cherry trees are down

I had three large cherry trees that were too close to the house, along with the fact they were in decline. I had them cut and moved over to my north property line and the young man next to me wants the wood for boards and firewood. He is going to cut me one or two slabs so I can play around and...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Spent the day with my youngest son at my land cleaning up brush piles and grading the tractor shed site. I enjoy getting the work done, but enjoy time spent with him more. He is a good operator. Good eye, goes slow, understands the mechanics of tractor and implements.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

That will really add to the functionality of your box blade! On my wish list for the future. How are you controlling the cylinders? Rear remotes?

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I am clearing a spot for a tractor shed build and had one red pine that I though I was going to have to chain saw down due to its size. Today I figured I would give it a go with the grapple and L2501. I was happy to have been able to break it off and pull the stump roots and all with little...

    First time buyer

I would let Paul weigh in but I am guessing he was thinking the raise and lower and possibly the chute functions utilize the tractors hydraulics.

    First time buyer

Paul, All great advice and information ! I am wondering about you mentioning that a snowblower works off the standard hydraulics. My experience says that the auger and blower will run off a pto shaft on these older B models? I do have a hydraulic ram to raise and lower.

    First time buyer

i do have mine set up much like it yes. Mine being the late model uses a mid pto to drive the snowblower instead of being driven by belt off a crankshaft mounted clutch and pulley. If I have that fact correct? I purchased mine with only a mid mount 60 inch mower deck which I had no need for...

    First time buyer

I have a late model B7100 hst four wheel drive and have used it for the last decade clearing snow off my driveway(blacktop with hill) and my neighbors (flat with gravel) and have been very happy. My front mount mid pto driven 2650 snowblower (50 inch) and 6 foot rear blade do great with turf...

    Curling

The little town (5800 pop) that I live near has a curling club that shares a indoor public rink with hockey and general ice skating, and if the ice and snow conditions are right they will set up outdoors on one of the local lakes. I have never curled but I find it strangely satisfying to watch...

    Rear 12v outlet for L2501

Very nice installation! As Repair asked, do you know what the amp rating is on the work light circuit ? Would that circuit be able to handle a 2.2 gallon per minute herbicide sprayer pump. The pump install sheet says to have a 15amp fuse, along with a minimum wire gauge of 14. Pump is rated at...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I will be having the shed itself built. Its out of the scope of what I feel comfortable attempting . I told the two builders that are being considered that I will handle the site clearing and grading. Heck, I still have to finish up the overhead cover for my shooting bench, (on the right side...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Cleared a area for my upcoming tractor shed build, 27x24 or to be determined. No chain saw work except for that lone red pine on the left. That one is a bit too large to knock over and yank out root ball and all like the smaller red and Scots pines.

    LA525 loader control valve cover

I took my tractor down to the land today to start clearing for a 27 x 24 tractor shed. Half way thru the loader control falls apart and the joy stick flops all the way down. Not a huge deal but in my situation complicated getting back to where I parked my wheelchair as the loader was in float...

    Front Axle Oil Level

I guess I can join the club with low front axle lubrication levels from the dealer. Mine was just shy of a quart.

    Brand new owner. Ballast?

I took this short video right after I put my new L2501 to work at my land. The operator is a young man who works for US Fish and Wildlife as a biologist and has tractor experience and has had safety courses that allows him to run heavy equipment for his employer. If you look closely at around...

    Brand new owner. Ballast?

I have a L2501 HST with filled tires and have now done loader dirt work and grapple work dealing with cut, dead and dying trees. I have operated with just rear tire ballast with satisfactory results but adjust my loads and working speeds. For the most part tire ballast and a small box blade...

    Front Axle Oil Level

From my L2501 owners manual. 1 is the check plug and 2 is the fill plug. (view, standing in front of tractor looking towards rear.) Thanks everyone for input on which fluid is used from the factory/dealer!
