    New house/driveway. Boxblade vs landplane?

The THREE most important criteria for constructing a roadway/driveway are.... DITCHES-DITCHES- DITCHES !!!!

    New house/driveway. Boxblade vs landplane?

Yes....A "scrape blade" does have a learning curve. A land plane is basically just..... "drag it, and you get what you get",..... no technique required. A box blade is best at moving material from high spots to low spots. Your primary problem in the pictures is that no attachment will work well...

Boxblade: Got the "pitch" and the "roll", how about a little "yaw" ?

That is a very nice looking hydraulically actuated blade. A cut or two above the EA Cat 1 - "6 Way Deluxe Scrape Blade", manual blade, that I was referring to. Yours is for a 50HP - 80HP tractor., which most here do not have

    New house/driveway. Boxblade vs landplane?

The major issue with a box blade is that it cannot be angled. Great for moving/scraping dirt/material from A to B, but not for building, and holding a crown.

Boxblade: Got the "pitch" and the "roll", how about a little "yaw" ?

That is EXACTLY why the box blade is NOT a good finish grading/shaping tool! Unlike a rear blade, it cannot be angled! Take a look at the Everything Attachments "6 Way Deluxe Scrape Blade" if you want to see the tool that works best for what you are attempting to do. EA also makes bolt on ends...

    New house/driveway. Boxblade vs landplane?

Can you afford a few loads of the cheap sandy material that your contractor used? You need to add some additional material to shape that driveway . Scratching/digging up your current surface is not going to be very helpful. I would recommend the Everything Attachments "6 Way Deluxe Scrape...

    Used attachment prices?!

A frequent factor in IMHO, is what I call "aucton fever". Buyers get caught up in the heat of the bidding moment.

    Trailering a L47 TLB

That must have been a very tight fit on an 18' trailer. My L48 TLB is 11' dig v/s the L47 10' dig, thus my BH is a slight bit longer. Mine fits on my 14K, 20' construction trailer, but with the loader bucket not flat on deck, and the BH bucket over the stern by a few inches.

th a jump, cranks slow after a jump but won't start.

A battery load tester (carbon pile 100 amp.) is cheap. Schumacher (on Amazon) is $42.20. Some are cheaper still! I have a 500 amp battery load tester. 500 amp load tester on Amazon = $77.98 Every tractor owner should have at least a 100 amp battery load tester. Works for cars, trucks, mowers...

    Pro Works pallet forks

The "back stop" or head rack is a big deal to me. Most forks do have a "back stop" but it is not flush with the back of the forks. I bought the EA forks, because the fork backs ARE flush with the face of the "backstop".
