    New tractor buyer

May I suggest that that you look into replacement ripping bar tip part availability, and have at least one on hand for if/when the pointy business end breaks off of one of your bars. The shoe holding the chisel point looks to be a heat-to-remove or something that any machine shop can easily swap...

    New tractor buyer

There you go, with 55hp and heavier 3-point capacity that big box will really cut through and move huge volumes very nicely.

    New tractor buyer

My Land Pride BB1560 is pretty heavy duty, a BB1572 may be a good fit in your situation. The higher sides add capacity and some weight which a boxblade can usually make good use of.

    I think I overpaid

Try using Sea Foam fuel additive with premium gas. It seems to work quite well at keeping fuel systems, valves and injectors clean, and stabilizing fuel very well. I had a 12HP walk behind snow blower with a mostly full gas tank sit unused for 2 winters, until my neighbor came and made an offer...

    I think I overpaid

I paid $50,000 for my Kubota cap (and jacket), (and toque, but I'm a Canadian, eh?), and as I got up to leave the salesman asked if I'd like a free tractor and implements thrown in for free, you know, for being such a good customer and all... The free caps 'n stuff thread is a good one, you got...

    I think I overpaid

This is why I finally spring for my kit. Decades of making do working with often ancient equipment got me in a position where I could afford one, and boom. Time for that new tractor smell. Never regretted it once.

    I think I overpaid

Nice setup. No you didn't overpay. In 2017 I was in the $25,000 range for a B2650 w/ssqa loader & pallet forks, BEFORE taxes, and with the added front hydraulics on your new unit the costs escalate fast. Yes mine is a bit bigger tractor, LA534 loader, but 7 years ago was before covid prices...

    Buying a used machine

Yes the front-mount snow blower will be a rare and expensive "add-on", if one can even be had or found.

    Buying a used machine

I shopped for a used Kubota tractor for 2 years, looking in the mid-20s HP range with a loader, and a backhoe at least available, and gave up when next to nothing was coming up for sale, and what did that sort of fit the need was only a couple grand less than brand new in 2017. The neighbor...

    3 point trailer hitch

Another 'zon for a CAT 1 3-point, I use a lot on my B2650: https://www.amazon.com/MaxxHaul-50039-Standard-Trailers-Equipment/dp/B07MWRW7PV They indicate 27" outside pin to pin.

    1100 pound counterweight for LX2610 ?

Basically it seems like that 45 gal barrel full of concrete is about twice what's needed for the LX2610. The 3pH has the lifting capacity, but all the unnecessary added mass definitely will stress out the 3-point hitch anti-sway components as it gets used. A simple example to think about it...

    1100 pound counterweight for LX2610 ?

My B2650HSD (earlier model name of LX2610HSD, same capacities basically) has a perfect counter-weight on the 3-point with my BB1560 box blade. That unit weighs 430 pounds, but it does hang further back than a barrel would, so net effect on counterbalancing is a bit higher. I say a perfect...

    Question on steering

Power steering drift will allow the steering wheel to rotate slowly when turned against its left or right stop. If there's such a heavy pull to the side on a reasonable road crown, enough to call for PS drift of the steering wheel, then I'd check the steering tightness when shut off, especially...

    Kabota B3350

See if you can find a B2650 with the BH77 backhoe. No DPF at all. The B2650 lower HP won't affect your use case unless there's some heavy ground-engaging and/or PTO attachments.

    Ball on forks?

Fear mongering about cutting a hole in the pallet forks tip for a hitch ball is a favorite here. The cutting torch only heats a slim line around the hole. I didn't have to turn the whole fork tip red. And i've yet to be presented with any tales of drilled-fork-tips snapping off under load. Or...

    Ball on forks?

Had a machinist neighbor try and drill a 1" hole in one fork for a hitch ball, went nowhere with the steel used being too hard, so he used a cutting torch. Did a pretty decent job. The fine threaded 1" mount pin on the 2" ball works well for hand-install and removal, it's a big nut and lock...

Any additional nput on 3pt chippers?

My 6 year old WM68 still chips like a champ with the original blade edges. One thing I did do last year that resulted in a large in-feed traction increase was take an angle grinder to the feed roller's teeth and grind off just enough to barely sharpen the rounded tooth edges. I didn't need to...

    LX2610 hours

The hour meter and fuel solenoid, dash electronics, engine sensors. Prob a few more i missed off the top of my head. My suggestion on how to proceed? Do your 50-hour scheduled service now. When it rolls around to 200 hours on the gauge, do the 200 hour scheduled service anyway, which will be...
