Ah I see it’s a on a v1505 engine it has a 2 terminal plug. I can’t see any numbers on it. On the bench the pin is out and retracts if pressed Cheers Lucas

hi i had to replace my fuel stop solinoid the other day becasue it over heated and let go. do they have an interal timer or do i need timed relay? cheers lucas

Would valve lash have anything to do with it?

No it’s clean fuel and a brand spanking new pump

Yes it does run one day it stopped and has been going on and off but now refuses to start

Yup all clear

So I’m still stuck. I’ve replaced all of the fuel system from the filter to the injector pump and it still won’t fire up. It pumps a lot of black smoke. I’ve bled it several times thinking just because everything was new there might be air somewhere. Lucas

It hard to see cause the exhausted is under the truck

So it’s 240pm the following day and I just went into work to try and turn the motor on and nothing same dam problem. Really over it now

So 1/2 hour of running and a 1/2 hour cool down and it kicks back into life I’ll leave it for a day or so now and see what happens. I don’t know if me pulling things apart and putting them back has some how do it but I don’t care as long as it works. Cheers Lucas

So it’s 856am and I’ve bleed it and it’s running I’ll leave it running for a while and turn it off then try again. I get to this point and think yay I’ve fixed it but then when I come back and try it again it all turns to shit. I’ll keep you posted. thanks for all the help guys cheers Lucas

so it turns out that it does have a shim inbetween the block and the pump I’m at a real loss now

Yup the engine has run fine it died one day and has never been right since. I’ll take it somewhere and it’ll run for no more than a day and then I’ll try and restart it and nothing

Is it normal to have a shim there?
