    What type of motor oil?

It seems to me that every time a person buys their first tractor, they get to 50 hours and have to figure out what oil they need, and all of sudden it's like "oh crap, I have this expensive machine that I don't want to mess up. What do I do?" So they do some research and make a post to their...

I remember when this was $15 a sheet!

Do the BX rear remotes (kits BX2419, BX7376...) have a float position?

My first implement is going to be a box blade. I'm in the selection/purchase process right now. A landscape rake is starting to enter my thoughts, but one step at a time. I'll be using the box blade in all manual mode at first, and it will stay that way until I understand how that's limiting me...

Do the BX rear remotes (kits BX2419, BX7376...) have a float position?

Thank you for the pictures and detailed explanation. I am just soaking up as much information right now as I can.

Do the BX rear remotes (kits BX2419, BX7376...) have a float position?

Fantastic. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I will need to do further research. I don't even own a 3pt implement yet, so I'm just soaking up as much info as I can. EDIT: Ok I just figured out my confusion. I was reading about float functions in rear remotes, and conflated that with my...

Do the BX rear remotes (kits BX2419, BX7376...) have a float position?

Oh I think I see the source of confusion. I'm talking about rear remotes, specifically but not necessarily to drive a hydraulic top link. That's not the same as the 3PT hitch lifts. I'm about to purchase a box blade, and it was suggested that I start thinking about getting hydraulic top and...

Processing Firewood the Professional Redneck Way

Oh ok. I couldn't see enough of it. I looked at the Bosch ones too when I was buying a stand but bought the Rigid one. They both do the same thing, there are just some design differences.

Messick's Telescopic Stabilizer Kit - BX Series

Got it. As I said or implied, I'm remarkably ignorant (for now) :)

the "log positioner" is what got me. Also, is that a Rigid chopsaw stand? I have one and love it.

    Was looking at box blades

That's a really good point, and I have to sheepishly admit I hadn't thought of that. The whole point of raising interest raises is to curb inflation, but if the Fed doesn't achieve the desired "soft landing" and we go into recession instead, the pricing picture could look completely different...

Do the BX rear remotes (kits BX2419, BX7376...) have a float position?

Yeah, that's not float ... that's "continual power down" The reason I ask about float is that I have been getting all hot and bothered about eventually installing the Kubota rear remote kit, probably for the main purpose of top-and-tilt, or at least "top". Last night I was watching videos and...

Messick's Telescopic Stabilizer Kit - BX Series

I'm not actually sure what chains you're referring to. The telescoping stabilizers on the BX replace the long turnbuckles. I'm new to 3PT hitches, so I'm not familiar with the variants.

Messick's Telescopic Stabilizer Kit - BX Series

That too! In fact, I was watching a video last night on another topic (rear remotes) , but I noticed that he had a QH and the telescoping stabilizers. I was silently pleased.

Messick's Telescopic Stabilizer Kit - BX Series

Good to hear! I started doubting myself earlier today when @OrangeKrush mentioned quick attach, but then I realized that the telescopic stabilizers solves the real hassle part for me. I don't mind getting out of the tractor ... I just don't want to deal with turn-buckles.

    What type of motor oil?

Ouch I see what you mean. Glad you said something ... I checked a few days ago and it seemed no problem...today not so good but I was able to place an order for in-store pickup of 2 gallons of 15W-40. Yikes!

Do the BX rear remotes (kits BX2419, BX7376...) have a float position?

Does anybody have one of these rear-remote kits installed on their BX? Do they have a float position, or just up, down, and stay-where-you-are?

Messick's Telescopic Stabilizer Kit - BX Series

note: I don't believe this posting violates the terms of service, which I actually read before posting. If you disagree, let me know politely Messick's sells a set of telescoping stabilizers for the BX tractors. It looks like they've been selling them for a little more than a year. I'm just...
