Use volt meter. Should be above 12 volts full charged. On 24 volt system, still make sure above 24 volts. I like the battery tender plus since you cannot over charge the battery since it has a microprocessor built in to let you know when done. About $70 for the 12 volt and $126 for a 24 volt...

What about using CREE leds, usually low cost. Have 1000 lumens for 1 led. Naturally very hot. And there are a few multi led boards offered, just needs housing to cover.

Wildfire has a point to make your own. I would make it out of poster board first for template to then make out of medal. Not sure of what type plating would be best since the fan is under tractor. I like the one wildfire made his with holes.
