Diesel engine sucked up water! Now what?

I'm having a water damage issue as well with one cylinder on a V1200. A good question is can the bad rod and piston be removed from the bottom? I know normaly they pull up and out after the jug lip is taken out but I think some old engines had enough room above the crank shaft to drop the piston...

B2150 after rain in exhaust issue. Most likely problem?

Well, the Ebay adapter was in fact not for a V1200 as advertised! so I ended up buying a harbor frieght kit with the 10x1.25 adapter. The sad results are the #2 back from front is only 325-330 while the other 3 are even at 445 psi. I'm going to run it this year as is and either do a short block...

B2150 after rain in exhaust issue. Most likely problem?

I have a flapper on my 555E hoe and never had an issue with water. That Italian made Ford is one hell of a work horse. Can't imagine being without that digger as well as the 2150. I went on Ebay to see what the V1200 engines go for just for giggles and found out that China makes "ALOT" of...

B2150 after rain in exhaust issue. Most likely problem?

Thanks guys, I found the 8mm glow port adapter and ordered it. I cant imagine a bad rod since there is absolutely no difference in sound coming from the engine. If its a bad ring, is the engine mounted in a way that the pan can come off without a frame section removed? I'm thinking how much work...

B2150 after rain in exhaust issue. Most likely problem?

Iv got a b2150 that used to start and run perfect after a 2 second starter spin. One night it dixi down pouring of rain. I didnt think it had harmed anything of my tractors outside. But a few days later, I went to start the 2150 and it had a hard time turning over. It chugged a time or 2 and...

    D782 UTV Repower project questions

Looks like this expedition into the unknown is over for now. Had quite alot of views on this question but no one with the back ground to help with a trans model that might be mated to a 3 cylinder diesel. What has happened is a couple days ago I spoted a Perkins 20hp powered UTV on face book...

    D782 UTV Repower project questions

Thanks for the suggestion but I swore off timing "belt" TDI engines years ago. After one slipped belt in a Jetta and VW screwing me out of a bad Pasat TDI balance shaft chain that were discontinued for new idler grear set replacements........ VW? Never again. Besides its way too heavy for this...

    D782 UTV Repower project questions

Well, a bit more research finds the 2120's D782 is a good engine candidate as long as I can find a stand alone Hydrostatic drive box with front counter clock wise out put shaft and rear clockwise out put shaft. This is the rub since most sub compacts are hydro transaxles and anything above is...

    D782 UTV Repower project questions

Hello folks, Long time diesel fan here and owner of an old B2150 for nearly 9 years. I'v been interested in a Kubota RTV for a few years but they are pretty expensive even the beat up ones I'v looked at with rusted through boxes and floors. So I ran across a Kymco UXV 500 (Yamaha Rino Clone)...
