BX23 won't start (neutral safety switch fixed!)

All you have to do to see if the neutral safety switch actuator is out of position is slide under the tractor and look up. No need to remove the wheel or do anything else.

BX23 won't start (neutral safety switch fixed!)

My hillbilly fix has been working great. The tractor is so much easier to use with that safety switch working properly. Let me know if you had the same problem.

BX23 won't start (neutral safety switch fixed!)

A C-clip would definitely be the way to go. I didn't know the size of the pin, and I don't have a C-clip collection, but I suspect that stainless wire will last a while. ;-)

BX23 won't start (neutral safety switch fixed!)

When I bought my used BX23D, only on rare occasions would the engine start with the key. It was so rare that the previous owner had wired in a push button start switch. So normally, I'd turn the key to 'ON' then hit the auxiliary start switch. While I was messing around fixing some other things...

    BX23 engine cuts out (fixed!)

Since I bought my BX23D, the engine would cut out while the tractor was in motion because the seat safety switch was positioned too far from the seat base plate. I'd used rubber sheet as a spacer between the seat and switch, but it kept falling out. So today I stared at it for a while and...

    BX23 creeping forward in neutral

Hi. My BX23D had been creeping forward in high or low gear without me touching the pedal since I bought it (used). I tried lubing every joint and greasing the pivot nipple, but it made no difference. The pedal spring was tensioned fine, and the damper was working properly. There were many...

BT600 hydraulic line sizes and problems

The local hydraulic shop receipt indicates 4' 8" of Parker 302-4 (1/4", 5800psi hose), Parker 10143-4-4 (male NPT fitting that attaches to the quick release under the seat), and 13943-6-4 (female 90° JIC). DHH's site uses different part numbers: R16-04-ASB | 1/4" SAE 100R16 Hydraulic Hose...

BT600 hydraulic line sizes and problems

Just thought I'd pop in and share that a hose failed on my BT600 backhoe last year. As others have commented, it was a real bear replacing it and current Kubota OEM replacement hoses are not the narrow gauge ones that came from the factory. Two weeks later, another backhoe hose failed! I was...
