  • I saw your post about the King Cutter dump trailer that you change the hydraulics on.That hand pump hurts my neck do to an injury.Like to change it to the 12v system you did.Not knowing that much about hydraulic I was wondering if you wouldn't mind giving some pointers on how you did it.Like how you hook the pump up the cycinder. And how many times you can dump the trailer on a full charge.Any info would helpful. Thanks for your time Rob

There isn’t a horsepower rating on the pump, only a 12 volt requirement. The reservoir only holds 1 gallon, but it is all you need to make a full stroke on the cylinder without running out of fluid. Like I mentioned this cylinder is a single action, and therefore only one hose is needed. The fluid that gets pumped into the cylinder goes back to the reservoir through the same hose when the down button is pushed and activates the solenoid to open the return valve.

If you were to purchase a duel action pump, I’m not sure it will work with the cylinder on the trailer as there is only one hose to the cylinder, and the top hole of the cylinder has a vent plug to allow air in when the cylinder is emptied, or lowered. Hopefully you can find a suitable single action pump. I know Northern Tool carries some self contained units, and you can try the Vevor website, as that is the lable that is on the one I got from Amazon. Hope you search yields one as it certainly is worth the effort. I would never go back to the hand pump
