26 hours? I'd just change the oil, if that. Also depends on where it is stored. Worse case is outside in an area that gets big temps swings, rain and humidity (like Virginia) Then I'd change it. Arizona, in a nice dry shop, I'd leave it be.
50 run time hours hard work? Yeah, oil and filter. 50 hours pull a cart with the grandkids on it? Probably just the oil.

All said, you cannot go wrong changing them both but you can go wrong neglecting it.

I couldn’t find Rotella T6 5w-40 anywhere, including Amazon as someone mentioned.

I ended up buying a 3-1 gallon case of Full Synthetic Rotella MV SAE 5w-30 from Amazon.

Apparently designed for folks maintaining both gasoline and diesel engines, as it’s called MV for Multiple Vehicle. Has the CK-4 spec which I believe is the important factor for diesel use (?).

My truck and all of my other small gas engines use 5w-30.

Fwiw... i've been told and it appears that on the newer ford f150 for example after 12 months, even with no miles or no use the computers starts throwing codes that oil needs to be changed. Internal clock tells you every 12 months. I guess the engineering brain trusts thinks 12 months is max

Send me 3 gals, … please…. an d I’ll send you some real BBQ … :geek:
nice offer. A little cost prohibitive :D FWIW I do some pretty darn good Q right here. 2 smokers on my deck, Weber charcoal kettle down on the patio (and no I don't burn no Kingsford in it) only pure hardwood charcoal. And my backup gas grill (for a quickie or warming up tortilla shells) when I make brisket tacos

Checked it out at NAPA store yesterday.
T6 5W40 hard to find
Glad I'm happy with T4 10W30.
Strait of Hormuz thing?
Lots of group III and IV synthetics are in short supply due to multiple refiners of synthetic base stocks in the area being throttled or downright shut down. I know Toyota recently put out a bulletin warning their dealers of an upcoming shortage of the 0W oils that their new vehicles prefer.

Having such a wide grade like a 5w40 necessitates a group III oil, whereas a 10w30 can be had with group II.
