Ultra low volume 120v oil pump advice wanted

I am fab'ing up a small project and would love to find a way to pump say 1/2 gallon of used oil / hr from a tank through a tube elevating the oil say 6'. Oil would be blend of motor oils / hydro fluids / contaminated diesel and maybe very small amounts of diff. oils. Basically blended mess of used service oils.

nothing fancy in mind, a 120v pump with a manual on / off switch would work fine with goal to move about 1/2 gallon per hour. no need to be a really steady flow either. Small "burps" of fluid also OK.

any words of wisdom or advice on how to accomplish this with a small electric pump?

great ideas but unfortunately my pea brain tells me those pumps have greater than 25 gallons / hr flow rates and I need to be in the 1/2 gallon per hour range. I would need to drop the flow rate somehow. I feel manually restricting flow rate would kill the pump through back pressure?

How about a 12 volt fuel lift pump from the auto parts store? They should be in the low gal/hr and don't seem to mind being deadheaded.

These waste oil pumps will get you down in that 1/2 gallon per hour. This is the pump only, you would have to supply drive motor.

When I was a transmission and axle mechanic, I built something “similar" for refilling differentials………Worked fantastic.

All I did was bolt an old oil pump (from a jeep 4.0l I think) to the top of a 5 gallon bucket, then ran it with my old sh!tty Makita 9.6V cordless drill.

I connected a rubber hose from the oil pump to the bottom of the bucket.

Took less than 25 seconds to refill the average “pig”…..Much, much faster than squeezing it in by hand.

I used the heck out of one of those too. Until the right angle one using the same battery stick came along. That little basser was indispensible.

What you want is called a peristaltic pump. They are expensive but will do dosing like you want.
