Simple Safe Solution: (Industrial strength vinegar also works for shorter periods):

My buddy buys vinegar when it's on sale to spray his unwanted, says it works real good, guess I'll be finding out the this week if the torch doesn't do the trick or maybe both would be better.

As for the SALT treatment…. back in the mid-‘60’s…. some ”rowdies” at my high-school decided to “tease” our main-rival’s football-coach…. after our team had beaten His Team 36 to Zero.

HE had, prior to the game, bragged on local news that his team would beat our team …. “I’ll be surprised if they can even SCORE”.

So…. our “vigilantes”…. used water-softener-salt on his front lawn… All CAPITALS …. ZERO!

That lawn remained ”branded” for the entire year…despite having the dead-turf completely replaced! …The NEW TURF…was GREENER than the Rest of his lawn…and in BRIGHT GREEN …. still said ZERO 🤣

My thoughts on a propane fueled weed torch is that they are labor intensive.

An herbicide that kills the weed root is most efficient and glyphosphate is still in my arsenal of weed killers.

Hey y'all -

I have some sidewalk, slag driveway, some pavers, etc. all with weeds growing up in them.
Roundup and the like works great. But I can't get past the health risk to myself and my animals in the area.

Have been doing research on the propane torches for weed control and I'm considering one. But I've never used one and I need some insight from others. I'm comfortable enough with torches in the oxy-acetylene world.

I see one for $70 at Tractor Supply that I'm considering. Is it worth it?

Any thoughts appreciated.
They work great but but the risk of fire is probably greater than the roundup.
