3830 fuel solenoid chatters

Machine dies after a minute or two , you can hear the fuel solenoid clicking off and on
The solenoid has been changed as well as the ignition switch , Tested the seat switch safety and eliminated that part and it still does it , pulled the fuel solenoid and verified the coils read ohms and wires are not damaged
Looking for the "OPC Timer " now as I am told this may be the problem ,
Any advise would be great , thanks

Do as you feel is best. Make sure to set the brakes. I'd start by hot wiring the solenoid straight off the battery (+) and ground straight back to the battery (-). Be reminded a loose ground can cause what you describe. You could also try jiggling the wire/harness while it's running. Good luck

I can run a hot wire to the solenoid but am being told there are 2 different circuits to the solenoid , one to pull in the coil and another to hold until stop signal

One wire would allow the solenoid to pull in once the safeties are satisfied, the other would stay energized to keep the engine running and of course the other is the ground. If the engine starts, then I'd suspect the seat circuit or the grounding. If you have the wiring diagram for your machine, it will help troubleshooting. Check all connections and fuses for looseness and corrosion.

It would really help if you gave us the whole model of tractor your working with, as the wiring is not the same for every model

Your issue could be wiring, solenoid, solenoid relay, or OPC timer.
The chattering sounds like a Relay issue.

According to the WSM on Kubotabooks.com, which is a little suspect, your model doesn't have any shutdowns except turning the key off. The interlocks are start permits. Since the engine starts, you either have a loose wire or the solenoid is intermittent.

The WSM that is on Kubota books does not show the Stop solenoid, the OPC, and stop solenoid, it is not for US models, there is a huge difference in some models that had multi markets.

This machine will start with the shifter in neutral , as soon as I move it to either Forward or Reverse it dies right away , if I run 12 volts to the hold in coil , it runs fine no chattering but also no safeties in service
I've pulled the shifting safety off to inspect , there are no bad wires that I can see, it is also a sealed switch so can't inspect the contacts , still looking for the root cause

Thanks. Well, I did say it was suspect . I couldn't tell what country it was for. Sorry if I caused confusion.
