Is it hitting on the bottom?
If it were mine I'd be running a drill bit through the hole and carrying on.

I probably can, i just haven't gone that route yet, I'm not particularly upset about it not working, because yeah it does hang down quite low, i was mostly making this as an informative post for anyone who was considering buying an lx2620 and wanted to use the mmm and the 3 pointView attachment 175913

I see what the problem is now. You are missing the part the pin goes through. I raised mine to look at it and at full height it is a little above and forward of the holes lining up. Mine has a silver tab bolted to the frame hole.
