A little hard to tell from pics, but the key on the new bolt looks a bit thicker than the key on the old bolt. You sure the new bolt key is seating correctly in the carrier slot?

I personally don’t remember how much movement like that was left in the blades.

But I will check mine out on Wednesday and post back some information then.

Are the blades upside down on that video? I get all turned around looking at stuff in videos so will also look at mine on Wednesday!

Ok got it:

The nut is bottoming out on the shank before its tight!
(Purple lines)
Put a hardened thick flat washer under the nut.

It sounds like your problem might be solved with a washer or two, but if you decide you want a torque multiplier - watch this Torque Test Channel video.

Significant performance variations - both power and accuracy.

The bolts are both 3/8 at the bottom, but were the blade sits, one is 7/16 and the new one is 1/2'". I think the new bolt is wrong for the blade.

The new blades are 1/2" ,old blades were 3/8.
So the new bolts match the new blades.

I remembered to look at this today and the tip of the blade is free to move 3/4 of an inch from full down to full up, when fully extended out like it is during operation.

The blade is about 3/8 inch thick and 18 inches long.

The bolt has about a 7/16 inch long shoulder for the blade to sit on (shown below).

The blades and bolts are OEM from Modern Ag
