78 model 295 directly under the oil filter there is a round hole no thread looks like it has a plastic plug. When I start the engine oil squirts out any thoughts to the problem. Engine sounds normal.

There is an aluminum plug that goes in that hole.

I believe 40 plus years ago there was a service bulletin from Kubota put out about this plug blowing out. I will look and see if I have the updated part that bolted on to hold the plug in. The other option is to tap the block out and just thread a pipe plug in. Your tractor must be one of the early serial numbers.
