Check out Reimer Tuning and TM AG Tuning (both in Canada). They offer programmers and/or bench reflashes but they're not cheap. That said, still cheaper than adding a turbo kit to an L2501 though! The only post I could find on this were a few years old.
Any new options for DPF deletes on a 2017 KX040-4?
Has anyone used 4DPF.com?
Thanks!!
TM AG Tuning has an "office" in TX, and if the ECU needs to be bench reflashed (lifetime warranty) it can be shipped there rather than over the border. A programmer would need to cross the border though and if available that's the way to go since it's a lot easier to work with. His sidebar says 'TX', so I assume TeXas ???
NOTHING is cheap in Canada,eh ! Might get pricier next month.....not
Just a week or so I watched [and seen] a few UTube videos about the trucking industry, and they were all happy that the EPA is backing down on DEF fluid and most diesel particulate controls. Now I did not search for any confirmation as to how true these statements were, but hey-it was on UTube so it must be legit, right? It would be nice to get rid of the regens and possible expense on our tractors. One can only hope.If you read the posts, then you KNOW it's illegal in the USA to 'modify' the machine, so tread lightly !
The biggest issue with it though would be reprogramming the computer.
What are you talking about?????Saw the 'math' and the energy to convert Nat Gas into 1 US gallon of DEF, will heat my house and cook my food and heat my water for a YEAR !!! Truly mindblowing !!
Urea is made chiefly from natural gas or coal through a catalytic processWhat are you talking about?????
Natural gas cannot be converted directly into diesel exhaust fluid (DEF). However, natural gas can be converted into diesel fuel, which can then be used to power vehicles that use diesel engines.
Explanation
- Natural gas to diesel fuel
Natural gas can be converted into diesel fuel through a process called gas-to-liquid (GTL). GTL uses the Fischer-Tropsch chemical conversion process to convert natural gas into synthetic crude oil, which is then refined into diesel fuel.
- Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF)
DEF is made from urea, which is produced from ammonia and carbon dioxide. DEF must meet strict quality standards, including a urea concentration of 32.5%.
