Another plus for the commercial series is that they generally have a geardrive reduction box, as compared to chaindrive on the residential. The extra for the commercial version is worth it to me: heavy gauge materials, hydro chute rotation and the gear box

You have invested a ton of hours in this decision. I used some of your posts and data comparisons to decide on a B2601 over the BX series about a year ago. The B2601 is just what we need and I am certain that a BX would not have worked out Enjoy the new B2601!

Thx DirtyDeed and DiggerJeep, I have the same chalenge when transporting my B2601...went out to the garage and chaecked, the B2601 frame has the same holes. I am going to add the hooks to mine!

I say take some time to be sure your current B2601 is really to much tractor. Moving to a smaller machine will likely be costly in terms of your real spend...then maybe that does not matter as much as feeling comfortable with the size

Not sure about the blowers you reference for the LX However for the blowers that work on the B series the differences between the commercial and residential are: The comerical uses thicker gauge steel in most areas, has a gear drive for the augers (vs chain on the residental) and the hydraulics...

Finally got around to removing the BX2822A front mount snowblower from our B2601 over the weekend. Changed the gear oil in the reduction box and gear box, and moved the snowblower, the K-Connect and back blade into the storage shed. First time (for me) installing the LA435 FEL on the tractor...
