Problem solved! Farmland Tractor Supply in Tanget, Oregon was able to special order a bunch of steering shaft and ballnut assemblies for a B6100; it was identical, except the shaft was 2 1/4" longer than for the B7200. I made a spacer bushing to take up the additional length, and it worked...

Thanks Vic! That's good info; I've also seen the idea of drilling and tapping the steering post, adding a grease zerk and pumping grease into the post around the shaft until it comes out around the top rubber bushing. I assume those steering shaft/ball nut assemblies you dug out were snapped up...

I may be on to a shop in Oregon that modifies the steering shaft and ball nut for B6200s (if they can get those parts) for other B-series, including the B7200. I'll post later if it works out!

That's what I was thinking, but I didn't want to order the part without knowing for sure. I just found it listed as 310mm, which is 12.2". Just as you said, someone has cut this one down.

Does anyone know the diameter of the stock cooling fan on a B7200? I've had some overheating problems, and my fan blades look shaved down; they are almost 3 inches smaller than the fan shroud. I can't find anything else wrong.

I am finishing a rebuild on the D950 for my B7200HST. I noticed that the fan pulley on the front end of the crankshaft is counterweighted. Does it matter how it is aligned on the crankshaft splines? If not, why is it counterweighted? I can't find any reference to it in the service manual.
