Diff lock is stuck in locked position. Yes, I used it in situation where one wheel was spinning fast in the mud and another was still.

So is opening top lid just for inspection or the problem can be fixed from above, without opening side part shown in the image below?

Thanks for the hint. Indeed, I missed that detail. I will take a look as soon as I get to the tractor. Meanwhile I tried to search for the dimensions of the pin. Attached find an image. It looks like it is rather long. I guess it is around 1.375 inches and I assume shaft rod is around 0.5...

What do you mean by green linkage being off?

I just did another test - lifted one rear wheel of the tractor off the ground using a jack. Another side remained firmly on the ground. I tried to spin lifted wheel using hands, but it is stuck - it doesn't move.
