Rear tire fill - your thoughts appreciated

Nice thing about loading the tires is the weight is not on the axle and bearings but right on the ground where it belongs.

    G 5200 F.I. leaking near the top

I'd throw a little UV dye in the fuel. I'd think that stuff made for an engine/transmission (mixes with oil not coolant) would be the ticket. They're tiny little bottles. Toss that in the fuel, buy yourself a UV flashlight and maybe some of them fancy yellow glasses, and watch for the glowing trace

    Changing Gear Box Oil

Less than a qt in the 60" also but it is certainly not overkill. Would I buy one simply to do that? No, but, if you have one it makes the job sooooooo much easier

    Changing Gear Box Oil

I do it one of 2 ways. I either put a small pan under the deck and allow it to drain but I've had bad luck with huge messes doing that. So normally I use my MightyVac system and simply suck it out. My deck is simply too heavy for my to casually pull it out. That 60" deck weighs more than my...

    Better Tach Trigger

It's an analogue tach (though obviously not mechanical) Even my current tach has a calibration function.

    Better Tach Trigger

Is it really necessary to count teeth? Since the tach has a calibrate feature. If I set to an RPM using my optical tach, then calibrate the tach to that reading i.e. run up to say 2k, calibrate tach reading to 2k, then check again at various stages i.e. idle, 1500, 2k, 2500. This is what I had...

    Better Tach Trigger

Since you can adjust or calibrate them, I can use my optical tach to calibrate it like I did with the alternator input. But yeah I may simply leave well enough alone

    Better Tach Trigger

I was under the impression the teeth on the flywheel were the trigger (targets). Am I wrong assuming that? After all if you look at things like crank or cam shaft position sensors and the like there are no special targets attached. The alternator trigger point works ok (if a little slow to...

    Better Tach Trigger

Some may recall I installed a tach on my G2160 diesel. I used a winding tap in my alternator as the "trigger" signal and all is working fine so far. However I mistakenly ordered this giant tach (me being dumb and doing improper conversion metric to inches). So, I have a more appropriately sized...

    Not Kubota Related Dwell Meter

Not sure but I think I still have my original old Matco analyzer sitting in the basement. I bought it back in the late 60s when I went into the apprenticeship at with Cadillac in Downtown Chicago. If I still have it I can put a photo up

Kubota T1760 with Kawasaki 17hp Engine

If you cut often enough with good blades I don't see a benefit. Though occasionally due to weather having more business than I can deal with and get chores done, yeah maybe. Though I don't own a bagging device for my Kubota. My walk behind trim mower has one but I only use it for trim. So there...

    Antifreeze

This is what the dealer told me as well. They said the packaging and color change was to prevent confusion as people only saw "green" and figured it was plain ol standard green. And were either topping off and or filling with the wrong stuff.

    Antifreeze

Last time at the dealer they had new stock in translucent jugs clearly Kubota branded product and obviously visible as pink coolant. When I asked it was explained that Kubota branded coolant (even though green) was not the old standard type green coolant so they changed the dye color and...
