L35 replied to the thread Fixing hole in side of block.Your rim looks like it’s had loose/missing lug nuts for a period of time, that may be what caused the cracks vs turning and churning.

Has anyone installed ice studs into the R4 tires after sniping them? I think that would be the best for traction in ice and snow.

I did something similar which is why I use chains now.
