running off of engine oil (run away)

Back again, after pulling the pump and turning the rods 180 it still ran away. So I quit for the day. Sitting on the couch I got to thinking about what I had just done. I came to the conclusion that I had pulled the rods and put them back in just as I had removed them. So, I pulled the pump and...

running off of engine oil (run away)

Thanks, I gave it a try with no success, I am now thinking perhaps the wrong pump may have been installed. I can slow the engine down by restricting the fuel flow to the the injector pump. The owner removed the shut off solenoid and installed a block off plate. My son has a Kubota excavator...

running off of engine oil (run away)

Sorry for the delayed response as I have been under the weather. The pos update. Thanks for all the input. I don't know why I do and do not do somethings. I purchased a valve spring compressor, pulled the injectors, turned by hand the engine over and replaced the valve seals on each cylinder...

running off of engine oil (run away)

More info, thanks to all of you for your input. I have disconnected the injector lines and it will not run. Put them back on and it runs wide open. I removed the side throttle plate and can move the rack which makes no difference on it's running. The smoke is mostly light gray. I did not...

running off of engine oil (run away)

Thank you. You are correct as to your question about turning off the fuel. The owner has installed an electric fuel pump, which I did not turn on.

running off of engine oil (run away)

Kubota D1105 3 cylinder in a lawn mower will run away if I let it. It cranks and runs without turning on the fuel. It has 350 lbs. per cylinder compression. Does anyone have a clue as to why this is happening? I lowered the engine oil to the add oil dot, did not help one bit. A little...

    Rear main crank seal diameter

Not being the sharpest tool in the drawer it took me a little while to remember that the flywheel fits snugly on the crank and it's id checks 72.06mm. looks like I was sold the wrong seal.

    Rear main crank seal diameter

Does anyone know the diameter of the crankshaft where the rear main seals on a d1105. I put a reground crankshaft in the block and the rear main seal has approximately a 1/16th of an inch gap between the crank and the seal. I sent the old crank back so I can not make a comparison. This engine...
