Update, I posted this a couple of weeks ago. And thought I would post the results here for the reference of the next person.
I followed the advice of the group and called the fuel station. what they told me is their Kero is a further refined of the Dyed at this time of year. they did offer to...
Thankfully not in the tractor yet, but when I went to town and filled the can I happened to notice (after I got home the receipt says I bought kerosene.
Now I seam to remember in a pinch Kero could be substituted for #1 but was generally not recommended. Though I also seem to remember that was...
I tried forward, backward, turned, not turned, neutral, high, low, and off the lever doesn't want to budge.
I don't want to yank too hard and break something. but have always wondered what was wrong or if it is something I am doing wrong.
Is there a procedure for using this?
I ask as the lever does not want to budge from the off position, I read the manual but it didn't imply I would need to do anything special. So far I have gotten by with out, but would like to use on occasion.
Okay my owner's manual is not really very clear on if I need to do anything about this and not fact it doesn't even mention it. But, the bi-speed turn gearbox (I guess that's how I'd describe it). I noticed it has what appears to be a drain plug I do not see a fill point. Is it part of the front...
Okay, I attached a picture of the manual, owner's manual that is. Where it says to drain the Front Mission case and shows an arrow pointing to a drain plug and it shows right below it the drain plugs for the rear Mission case my question is when I fill from the main rear fill plug,w I'll it fill...

Note I wanted to back light. preferred it even just didn't work out for me.
OK, here is what I ultimately did.
I got there little licence led posts that screw through the holes in the plates and shine down on the plate.
Then I dis-assembled my dash to get to the frame marked out two spots and drilled a hole through each.
Installed the lights into the holes I just...
The trouble I have as I had the same idea the the face plate is metal. so from the back is a no go unless there is a kit to swap the face plate with something that can be backlit. But I can't seem to find anything like that out there. my other "idea" is to use little LEDs drill a couple of holes...
I am new and this is my first post. I have been looking for a while now and have not found this topic come up.
I have a '97 kubota B1700 tractor. currently the instrument panel in not lit. is there a kit or mod or replacement part that will light the dash without having to duct tape a...
