Talk Me Out of Buying Aftermarket Clutch Components

I think you pretty much answered your question yourself. The more work is involved the more I am inclined to buy genuine parts, even if the expense hurts. There is a lot of junk out there when it comes to aftermarket parts but it is often possible to get the original part from an OEM supplier...

    Bad Welds?

Amazing what you learn on a tractor web site. Really. I didn't even know a dolphin fish exists, only ever knew the "Flipper" type since earliest childhood. :giggle:

    Bad Welds?

Well, I have a basic understanding of welding and mechanical engineering but I would not consider myself to be an expert it this field. From what I see I would say the welding is strong enough for what it is supposed to hold. Maybe Kaufmann is cheaper because they do not do unnecessary welds...

    Bad Welds?

A word of caution: the flexibility may be desired by the manufacturer. C-channels are typically used on truck frames to allow flexing. Rigidity increases strain on the components. A friend of mine builds convertibles for a few years now and he told me that his first prototype was too wobbly but...

    Bad Welds?

"you can tune a file system but you can't tuna fish" hpux user manual, tunefs command Hmmm... something is not right here. Maybe @hagrid can explain what that has to do with bad loader welds.

    Bad Welds?

And you have every reason to be disappointed. This loader should not have left the factory. I had another look at your first post. It has been said most likely already (just not by me :giggle: ) but the welds do not look like robotic welds to me. I worked in servodrive design used in robots...

    Bad Welds?

No, I would not call that compromise either. It is a business decision. Marketing would typically decide. From what they hear from their sales network they would have discussions like: "it looks as if we have an xyz kg loader for the abc tractor this would fill a gap in our tractor range and...

    Bad Welds?

I prefer tuna. And dolphin is a mammal, not a fish. ;)

    Bad Welds?

And satisfies the engineers. First of all any engineering calculations will have a safety factor accommodating for flaws in materials and workmanship. And secondly over engineering adds only cost for the customer with no added benefits. The opposite is actually the case, in case of the loader...

    Is there a vacuum

Sorry to hear that. But isn't the root cause of the problem the snowblower? I do not have a clue about those things but what I remember reading here is that you can get some guide rails at the sides to keep it a bit higher and not to ingest any stones. Would be better for the blower too I believe.

B2650 Hydrostat pedal damper and safety switch

With the fuse blowing I would suspect a wire shorting to ground, possibly from a safety switch. Seat switch is a good candidate, I think on some tractors they come loose and then short the wire to chassis (ground). Check in the schematics which wires are supplied by this fuse. I do not know the...

    Is there a vacuum

Would a rake not do the job? It's only the bigger stones you have to catch.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Ahhh, sorry, I misunderstood. Now heated steering wheel, that is something, especially in a cold climate. (y)

    3D Printer

There is plenty of good free open source 3D modeling software out there and plenty companies that offer 3D printing services for very little money. But in your case I think you are doing the right thing. 3D print has it's applications but nothing will get even close to what you can achieve with...
