    Refurb electric motor

“I had to stick my finger in the pulley hole to help it but once it got going, it could handle the load.” I don’t know what pulley hole you’re sticking your finger in, but I think it would be wise to stick something else in there besides your finger! Love a success story…(y)

    Tilt cylinder leaking BX23 LA210-1

Couple years ago I had the tilt cylinders on my B2 910 rebuilt by hydraulic shop in Pittsburgh. I dropped them off and picked them up a week later, and it cost me $100 each. I thought it was a fair deal, since if I bought the seal kits from Kubota it would’ve cost something like $60 per...

pin hole rear wheel on BX 2370

Or you could consider keeping both tires and wheels, removing the liquid fill, and having them filled with foam which is even better ballast than liquid because it fills the tire 100%. I did this on my BX front and rear tires close to 20 years ago and never regretted it. You need to find a tire...

    BX 23S PTO damage

Sounds like the mower deck was lowered to the ground to cutting position, when the issue became apparent. And that the PTO was likely engaged either slightly before lowering or after the mower was on the ground. But my gut tells me the PTO shaft probably extended when the deck was lowered. If...

    BX 23S PTO damage

Thanks for that Bee-Positive. I was trying to remember what I did to get the PTO to turn freely, and I must put the lever between positions to get that to happen. Perhaps this drawing will be helpful to the OP as well.

    Grinding noise

I remember reading it in the manual I THINK. I do know that from new I did find grease in the covers above the blades, which then made sense to me. But I am certainly not an expert by any means. Perhaps someone who knows with absolute certainty can chime in? Or if I get I chance I will take a...

    BX 23S PTO damage

I’ll be interesting in hearing the replies to the question because I wasn’t aware there was a brake that serves to restrict or stop movement of the PTO shaft. Never thought much about it. However, I do know that it’s possible to move the levers when the engine is turned off so that the mid PTO...

    Grinding noise

Something‘s not quite adding up here. If the whole assembly is “loose" the issue would have to be more than just the spindle. For an outside spindle at least, one of the bearings would likely have to have disintegrated somewhat. So I’m guessing that the bolt the secures the blade to the spindle...

    Grinding noise

The deck you have Goat girl is likely slightly different than the Deck on my BX2200 and TG's BX23, but should be very much the same and may share many components. You may want to check that thread out. Here is a link to that thread started by TractorGal...

    Grinding noise

If you’re working under there make sure you have the tractor properly supported. Somehow using the loader to lift the tractor and hold it up by itself would be an absolute no no! You really want Jack stands or maybe the front wheels supported by those portable ramps that you run up, or...

    Grinding noise

First thing I think I would do is look down under the deck and see if there’s a piece of wire or something that the blades may have picked up. Would also check the blades and make sure somehow the deck didn’t get bent in to the point where a blade could touch it. Then, if I didn’t find anything...

    Grinding noise

In the meantime, is that you with your head under the deck inspecting the mower? Or perhaps that’s you directing a helper from the driver seat?

    Daily Chuckle

The only thing that came to mind was a cheer, something like: "2…4…6…8…Who do we appreciate!" But my AI buddy probably came up with a solution, along with an explanation on how it was figured out, based on an old style telephone keypad: " AINT “ ( like in ain’t))
